I'm only 16 and I love older music...but recently i've been listening to a lot of 80s songs. I don't know that many, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a couple songs? They can be fast or slow, I don't care.

Try some '80s The Cure or REM (before both bands sold out/conformed). I went to high school from '84-'88 and was into the popular music of the time...yes, even hair bands. Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Poision, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, and Whitesnake were constantly on the radio. So were the copycats like Cinderella and Europe.
Anyways, I missed out on a great (and argueably the best) time for alternative music.

Another band you need to listen to is A Flock of Seagulls, and all hair metal.

The cable company here put it on the air almost as soon as it went on the air.. I swear to god I watched 22/7 for 2 years, the only times I didnt watch was when M*A*S*H was on or at midnight when The 3 Stooges was on.Other than that, as soon as I got home from school the TV was on MTV. Boy did my younger brothers and sisters **** and moan about it.
