Well, what about 'Say Anything' w/ Jon Cusack? Or 'Morgan Stewart's Coming Home' w/ Jon Cryer. you could try 'Lucas' if you wanna good cry, this one always makes me tear. If your just looking for some good fun, definitely rent 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.'

Devolution here, Do you shop at the video store of the gods? Morgan Stewart's Coming Home? Lucas? I have them both on tape, but to rent them a whole other story, just go out and buy some of them for 10 bucks, Since you are paying 5 bucks to have it for a week, just bite the bullet. Hey, I second RiverPhoenix4life in recommending 'Say Anything'.. it ties with 'Pretty in Pink' for my favorite movie of all time.
Some other suggestions are 'Hiding Out' (Jon Cryer), Sixteen Candles, Less Than Zero.

Here's some teen comedies-I love and think anyone will too: Weird Science, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Private School-with Phoebe Cates, The Joy of Sex-it's hilarious-and has alot of the same actors from Valley Girl cause it was filmed by the same director, Hot Moves, Hardbodies, Tomboy, I love camp movies like Meatballs, and Little Darlings. I love the movie The Night the Lights went out in Georgia.
I might think of more and add them later. But, those are all good ones.
