Everyone whos seen Heathers knows that the song playing when Christian Slater shoots his radio at home is Teenage Suicide(dont do it)by Big Fun.But when the film was shown on Channel 4(UK)recently,the song had been replaced by some cheesy instrumental.Any of you guys out there know why? Cos i dont!!!

Sometimes TV tends to cut things out of movies. Perhaps the song was cut out. I'd stick with buying the movie. TV ruins some good movies.

It has some goofy thing to do with licensing of the song that was originally used - probably the musicians' union or record company (or both) wanted $$$ from the network which aired the movie.

Were Big Fun a real band? I have a feeling they were.

I looked them up and no, they were a purely fictitious group.

There was an English boyband called Big Fun which released one album in 1990 called "A Pocketful of Dreams".

But yeah, like LwC said, the band in Heathers was purely fictitious.
