There are so many great talents who've passed on that really left an intriguing mark on our music and entertainment business, and without them the entertainment world really sucks. People like Randy Rhoads, Nancy Spungen, Sid Vicious, Cliff Burton, just to name a few.

Not really an 80's actor, but what about Chris Farley.

I agree. I miss John Candy and River Pheonix.
I enjoyed "cool runnings." "Trains, plains and automobiles." and "Stand by me." These are only a few of their best. What was your favorites?

I didn't know Mark from Roseanne died...how did he die? He was pretty young.

shegotgame,

I was shocked last year when I found out- I'm a pretty big fan of the Roseanne show and I thought Mark was great, it really is such a tragedy- a talented, good looking Irishman gone at such a young age. [Frown]

John Lennon
George Harrison
John Candy
Walter Matthau
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Concert promoter Bill Graham
Wolfman Jack
Michael Hutchence (of INXS)

John Entwistle (bassist for The Who)
Graham Chapman (Monty Python's Flying Circus)
Joey Ramone
James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon (of my favorite group, The Pretenders)

And, although she wasn't in show biz:

Oh, and one more person that I forgot to include in my previous post:

Gilda Radner

good list Steven, stirred some good memories, especially Stuart Adamson (who i had the pleasure of a handshake with not long before his death), Graham Chapman, Lennon & Harrison. Didn't realise Richard Crenna had died, he was brilliant in "First Blood". Kirk Douglas and William Devane were originally approached to play the Troutman character, great actors, but can you imagine anyone other than Crenna in the role?!

also missed:

John Entwhistle (The Who)
Joey Ramone (The Ramones)
Freddy Mercury

I had no idea Richard Crenna died....I really liked him as an actor, he was great in all three Rambo films. John Candy was one of the funniest, greatest comic actors ever, if not the funniest actor--he was at least in the 80's.

I agree with all of you posts, here are two of mine:
Wendy O willaims (she was crrrrrrrrrrazy)
Joe Strummer, I love The Clash,it was such a shame to lose an artist who actually made sense and had something to say.(and something worth listenng too)
May they all Rest In Peace.......
