Im trying to figure out the name of this movie that had John Bland of The Breakfast Club in it. I remember he was in college or prep school or something and he falls in love with some pretty, preppy girl or something like that. Does anyone know this movie?

There wasn't anyone in The Breakfast Club called John Bland - I'm sure you mean Brian Standish, played by Anthony Michael Hall. He was also in Sixteen Candles, where he fell for another Breakfast Club star, Molly Ringwald. Check out our review of the movie to see!

Hey Maybe you are talking about John Bender played by Judd Nelson in the Breakfast Club he dates Molly Ringwald. He was also in St. Elmo's Fire and ended up dating a preppy girl aka Ally Sheedy. Hope that helps. P.s. Anthony Micheal Hall played Brian Johnson !!

I'm a huge Judd Nelson fan, yes, he did play John Bender in The Breakfast Club.
The film you're talking about, could it be Making The Grade? He played the character Eddie Keaton, this film is known as the one that started Judd's career.

I did a little research on John Bland and he passed away quite awhile back at a very young age. He was in Soul Man which sounds familiar to your description of the movie but he wasn't the main character in the movie.

Yeah it definitely sounds like Judd Nelson in Making The Grade.
Either way, I doubt this guy from 2001 is still hanging around the Rewind for an answer. Or perhaps he is sitting in front of the computer rubbing his hands together saying "14 years of hard work is finally paying off."
