There are quite a few people who haven't been around lately. Hope everyone is okay.

I've noticed that as well. I feel like after the long layoff with the updates that there was some momentum loss. Maybe some people just fell off. Hopefully they come back soon!

"Bernie's a little wasted right now."

Thanks to the guys who have expressed concern. I am glad I am missed. The Good Package alerted me to this thread (thanks dude). I strained my back really badly a while ago and it is causing me massive problems in my back and also in my arms especially my mouse rotator fingers and.

I will be back but just checkin so you know that I am still in the land of the living or at least in my case the land of the living dead.

On a side note I just started doing a film degree. Perhaps I can bring back some 80's class to the industry. I will try and drop in when I can but even at the moment I have to try and keep my computer use to a minimum, but I am stoked to see that I am missed here.

Yep, that authenticates the message's author. It's Bernie, still alive and back to torment me about my "love" of The Facts of Life. LOL

Annual pilgrimage? I am a mere peasant Australian migrant who can only afford a loaf of bread and a small jar of vegemite to scrape through to my next pay checque. I am studying at the moment but once I finsih studying etc, I will be back. The thing that bummed me is that I went in 2010. Why didn't I have the foresight to go on July 3 2011. 40th anniversary. Manzarek and Krieger were ther้. Arggghhhhhh(a similar arggghhhh to when Gary finds out that he just slep with a BMW mechanic in bachelor party).

Here's a link a few of you might enjoy:

Get well Bernie. And congratulations on the film school. I often wonder what would have happened if I had applied to NYU? Hope ya feel better soon.

Posted by Bernie_Lomax (Member # 8571) on :

Thanks P-Girl. I appreciate it. What was the go with NYU? Were you gonna do film school there? All these Americanised anagrams are weird to me cos I am from Australia so I get confused when I see Cal Tech or UCLA or NYU abbreviations cos I am not used to seeing that kind of stuff. I am feeling ok but just back and arms, arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks to everyone who has expressed concern.

I have said it and I'll say it again (Ferris Bueller, 1986), but I am overwhelmed by how much people know about 80's movies on this website. It is scary. I really thought that I thrashed 80's movies as a kid but I feel like a novice on this site even though I can quote Caddyshack word for word from start to finish (no bull). It is extraordinary how many other people were watching 80's movies on VHS or to some BETA at the same time and earlier as me.

I agree about the knowledge of some of therewinders Bernie. You seem very knowledgeable to me Bernie.
Tell me this. In Caddyshack. How much was the bet on whether Spalding ate the booger? This is not a question to test you. I was wondering bout it earlier this week.

I feel so ashamed to be born in 81 when this masterpiece of cinema was made in 1980. Crying all the way to my comfy spot on the couch! [Frown]

GGBack, where do you live? As an Aussie I am somewhat fascinated by USA. Somewhat because most of the movies over the years have been made there and also because I have never been there.
