Awesome! I was hoping I would get Kendra..not gonna lie! I think this will be a fun season.

Rats....I wanted Ralphie! Oh well....I always did love Miss Cheryl Burke! I'm not a faithful watcher, but check it out when I can. Thanks for making it fun Valley.....

Kev.. the Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke freestyle dance still remains as one of my all-time favs:

DWTS - Lachey/Burke Freestyle

But for 80's fans this is probably the best:

DTWS - Lachey/Burke Paso Doble

Would have been even more incredible if Michael Jackson had sung the tune!

aww man.. i got karina as a partner.. that's like the kiss of death. [Razz] j/k

i don't mind being ralph! maybe i will get to waltz to the glory of love by peter cetera. [Wink]

oh and valley, when i first read the list, i saw "veronica - kendra" and thought oh wow, i got kendra!! [Eek!] .. whoops..

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

Aw, I was hoping for Ralphie, too. lol Should be a fun season, though.

The Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke numbers were some of the best.

I'm guesstimating the early favs....Ralph and Sugar Ray. Although...I'm kinda guessing that Ralphie can't dance. Sugar Ray's got some fancy footwork....loved watching him box back in the day when his division was kickin'....Sugar Ray, Marvin, Roberto.....some good fightin'....

Marvin Hagler is a god.

Here's a little DWTS teaser for fans of Ralph Macchio ...

Thanks Valley. Watched a few of the other clips as well. My thoughts:

"MY" Cheryl is looking better than ever!

I wish Chris Jericho was Roddy Piper, Jake The Snake, or Ricky Steamboat! I stopped watching wrestling in 85!

Ralph seems like such a nice guy...I'd like to have a beer with him.

My early favorite to win....Sugar Ray Leonard,,,,you heard it here folks!

Reminder: The new season of Dancing With The Stars begins tonight!

I've got to be honest.. even though I have Sugar Ray Leonard and hope he does well. I totally want to see Ralph Macchio go as far as possible!

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

I'm hoping for Ralph too Valley. I think he'll get far on "oooohhhh...the Karate Kid" votes alone!

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

Aww, it was so cute seeing Ralph being introduced in the beginning! Is it just me, or does that man NOT age?? He still looks like a kid to me.

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

Wow....Ralphie can dance!

Wow....Cheryl is Hot!

Wendy the first to go......

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

I agree Kev, Wendy was HORRID. Ralph and Kirstie were the best! My girl Kendra did pretty good too, I thought [Smile]

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

Watching now...Chelsea Kane - a nice start to the night.

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

Woo-Hoo Kirstie! She was awesome. [Smile]

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

i had a feeling kirstie would do good... i remember her dancing in a couple of movies and she can move.. remember loverboy? haha

ralph was great! [Smile]

coop, chelsea was great and she's extremely cute!

poor wendy, she was very emotional and i hope she can stay but she wasn't very good.

i tried calling in my vote and the line was super busy!

oh yeah and hines ward did a great job too. [Smile]

good opening night, i'd say.

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

I thought it was a good opening night, too. A lot of good performances, especially for the 1st time. Should be fun to see them take off from here.

Ronnie - Yes, she is. [Smile]

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

I was excited that both of our 80's favs .. Ralph Macchio and Kristie Alley did excellent for the opening night of DWTS!

Coop424.. I think your pal Ralph is in it to win it!

Ronnie.. great point about Kristie and "Loverboy".. I'd love to see Patrick Dempsey in the audience one night!

On a side note.. I was a bit disappointed in Sugar Ray Leonard's performance, but quite enjoyed hearing the tune "The Power of Love"!

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

OK Ronnie.....so I wrapped up all my DVDs that have cardboard covers, and they are ready to ship to you.......IF.... you trade Ralph for Chris Jericho.....OH....COME ON!!! [Mad] Ralph and Cheryl would look good together!

Gotta say, if Ralphie keeps dancing that way...he's a shoe in. Again, simply being the Karate Kid will garnish many votes...even if he couldn't dance. But now that he can dance....winner for sure. Similar to Jennifer Grey last year...the girl could dance....and....being Baby from a movie everyone in the world has seen....I suppose didn't hurt!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Kev.. I thought Ralph Macchio came out of the gate strong, but Jennifer Grey was on another level in my opinion and was just an amazing dancer. Macchio shows promise, but I want to see more and of course a waltz to "The Glory of Love"! [Cool]

btw, if Cheryl was dancing with Ralph .. I would already hand him the mirrorball.

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

I've actually only seen a few clips of Jennifer dancing, and am not surprised she could kick it on the dance floor. I think my surprise with Ralph was that I would have bet he couldn't dance a lick! And, I agree, I don't think he'll leave before dancing to Mr Cetera.

And...true dat re Cheryl. I always had a little crush, but this year...wow!

I do wonder how much their "celebrity" actually plays in the votes...I'm sure it must have some influence. But then again.....Nick Lachey won didn't he?

Posted by Muffy Tepperman (Member # 1551) on :

Since I caught you guys on here talking last night I checked in to watch it.........i've never watched it ever! my old roommate used to bug me watching it all the time and i'd be like "uhhhh enough already"

and I caught it just in time for Ralph....awwww he was great.............and 49?! are you kidding me....and Kristie's 60! what!!!????

was fun to watch in a cheesy way........didn't see my girl so may youtube it....to see.....

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

another thing that surprised me about ralph, is how long he is! his arms and legs are insanely long. i had no idea.

and kev.. haha. ralph did great on his foxtrot but i'll be super impressed once i see him salsa.

valley - are trade deals allowed? [Big Grin]

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Muffy .. I thought your girl was actually quite good for a first dance.

And Ronnie.. no trading allowed.. well, unless I can get you to share some of Kev's crappy cardboard covers. Plus, I'd wait for a better deal from Coop424 who might be able to get us both Ralph Macchio autographed copies of "The Outsiders" since she is close pals with him!

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

Say what...say who! [Eek!] Friends with Ralph! Coop....all my carboard covers for an autographed copy of The Karate Kid! Valley who? Ronnie who?

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Kev.. that was "The Outsiders" .. but since you mentioned it.. maybe we can get "The Karate Kid" and trip to Golf 'N Stuff thrown in as well. I mean crappy cardboard covers or Golf 'N Stuff .. I can see how you are struggling with that one.

Posted by Pittsburghgirl (Member # 7514) on :

I don't watch the show, but would like to see recaps. The fans in Pittsburgh are going crazy for Heinz Ward. And on TVline, Ralph Macchio was described as Dorian Gray, lol!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Reminder to watch tonight! Last chance to see everyone perform before the first elimination tomorrow night!

How about Ralph Macchio .. great name for first tune .. ha:

Ralph Macchio - DWTS

And just in case you're looking for a little inspiration and wondering why most of us are pulling for original Karate Kid:

Allright Daniel.. You're the best!!

Ralph's jive - wow!
I missed Kirstie. Anyone see how she did?
Kev - Sorry, somebody's been telling tales....
Oh Valley...smh lol

Coop.. nice attempt at playing your friendship with Ralph off.. btw, I saw you sitting with his family in the studio audience tonight!

"You're The One That I Want" from Grease was word! Oops sorry.. I'm a "Grease 2" fan now.

Oh.. thought it was cool to see and hear from Ralph Macchio's kids!

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

lol - I love Grease!!
Sitting with the family - Oh yeah, we're real tight. lol
Loved the part with Macchio's kids, too. His son cracked me up.
Looks like Macchio will have some tough competition in the coming weeks. [Frown]

You've got to help Ralphie with those Mickey Mouse jazz hands thing he's doing.

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

You noticed that, too!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Coop.. It was probably easier for you to spot from the audience though. [Wink]

Overall, thought Danielson was great.. everyone did decent tonight.. no train wrecks!

Ronnie, Muffy, Kev .. did you watch DWTS tonight? We want feedback!

Posted by Pittsburghgirl (Member # 7514) on :

I watched almost an entire episode of DWTS last night for the first time. Kirstie was good, Ralph Macchio was great (I don't know what was up with the judges being all over his ****!) and Hines was good too. I am actually rooting for Ralph- I do think he is the best. Cannot believe he is 50 years old!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

I'm not going to say much just in case some west coast viewers don't know the results.. but you can find me at Golf 'N Stuff !!

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

..that's my cue to get out of here..... the show starts in 30 minutes over here.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Well .. the first DWTS elimination was last night and despite bringing out two awesome tunes "The Power of Love" and "Sweet Soul Music" .. my contestant Sugar Ray Leonard wasn't able to match his dancing skills with his song choices and found himself in thd bottom two.

In the end though, it was .. Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer who were eliminated.

Oh.. our two 80's favs Ralph Macchio and Kristie Alley are doing quite well and appear that they are early contenders for Tony Manero's disco mirror ball!

goooooooooo Ralph! [Smile]

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

Well, so far tonight my girl Kendra has done the best!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Oh.. I totally thought Hines Ward's choice of "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind, & Fire was just brilliant! Though, I must admit the movie "Private Lessons" kept running through my head. [Embarrassed]

When I was in jr. high my basketball team would warm up to tunes such as "Fantasy", "Boogie Wonderland", & "Let's Groove" .. cool memories! Oh and "After The Love Is Gone" is just a beautiful tune.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Now that everyone has had a chance to watch..

I felt a little bad for Kristie Alley because without the fall .. her performance might have been the best of the night.

And Veronica.. I agree that for the first time Kendra entered the competition.

As mentioned above .. Hines Ward stole the show with "Fantasy" and an upbeat performance where he showed he had some serious moves.

But Ralph Macchio pulling out the tune "Stay Gold" from the Outsiders was a beautiful touch. The dance wasn't quite as good as the tune selection, but still worthy in my opinion.

Here's the performance if you missed it:

Ralph Macchio - DWTS "Stay Gold"

Sorry guys...fell off the wagon for a bit. Will try to catch up for next Monday! Thanks for posting the highlight Valley....

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

I felt so bad for Kirstie last night. I'm sure she is going to get picked on for this big time - but you know what, her and Max both handled it pretty gracefully and ended up doing a beautiful job regardless.

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

i also felt bad for kirstie, ...max's leg gave out, he was hurt afterwards too.

i still think ralph did well. i liked when him and karina were practicing and she told him to give her a sexy look and he said that look's been working for his wife for 24 years... haha so cute.

i loved kendra's dance, very sexy!! and i also loved her story she had to tell, about her and her hubby getting together and how people were hatin' on them. her dance was like saying, 'eat your heart out!'

hines did so good, valley. i love EW&F and that song is terrific!

i also thought Chelsea was good too. [Smile]

Posted by Muffy Tepperman (Member # 1551) on :

I keep going back and forth watching.....I can't just chill and watch it...haha

I saw Kendra and her personality has always bugged me...I'm usually so lax and I always liked the other bunnies. Her dance was great.

Saw Kristie too....that did suck....I kept thinking it was part of the act or something? I really hope they don't pick on her in the media.....she is so awesome up there. I agree with what Valley said she might have been the best performance of the night....

hadn't seen Ralph's til now.....he's so cute.....I still have a hard time thinking he's 50! like my mom's age...haha

all in all I am enjoying watching it with you guys [Big Grin]

Posted by Coop424 (Member # 9205) on :

Whew! Kirstie's coming back...I'm still in!
Yay to the others still in it, too!

Didn't see Wendy's performance last night, but can you imagine doing this and the bi-coastal thing too?!

Loved the music choices this week. I liked the personal theme.

Can't wait 'til next week!

hey helen, thanks for sharing that link! that was too funny. [Smile] i love the look on ralph's face when the judges are giving him their critique haha.

Helen, that was so funny. I just had to share it on FB!

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Pitts.. you really should give DWTS a try.. probably not your thing normally.. but with Ralph Macchio and Kristie Alley involved, it kinda makes it fun for 80's fans.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Voted off last night was:

Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani

Posted by Pittsburghgirl (Member # 7514) on :

Valley I did make some comments before about DWTS. I actually watched the first two weeks. This week I missed it however. I heard Wendy got voted off, which was pretty much a given either this week or next. I just wish that people weren't so harsh about her. One of my "friends" said she looks like a man. I don't really think she looks like a man, but she is a very big woman and tries to keep in healthy shape.

Devolution here,

My Prediction Kendra is gone. She's not very likeable and she hasn't treated her partner with respect at all. Just an observation.

We are DEVO

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

I missed the first two dances...Kendra and ?, then watched the rest. Ralph continues to do well. Kirstie had yet another mishap, however, I think she is likely to be a home audience favorite....the votes she gets there may very well take her to the end.

My team did well, and by "my team" I mean Cheryl and Kym.....holy lord tundering....wowzers they're looking good. My real team of Chris and Cheryl I thought did well....that whole going from one knee to the other while sliding acoss the floor....that looks hard! Not thinking Chris will break the top five though.....

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

DWTS starts now!

Now it gets interesting.. go Ralph!

I don't think I posted this:

Voted off last week

Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

so who should go home?

do you guys vote?

i definitely think that Kym has the best dancing body on the show. so long and curvaceous! she's beautiful.

maks was rocking with the pants and no shirt. i loved how last night's show was patriotic but i didn't like a lot of the dances or the music choices?

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

Ronnie, I have been voting every week for Kendra since she's my girl, but forgot to last night, oops.

Maks looked hot last night! Don't really know who should go home tonight...

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

We will find out tonight if Ralph Macchio has a strong fanbase.. according to the judges he is in the bottom 3.. but will the viewers agree? ha

Veronica.. I'm sorry.. but I think it is time for Kendra to pack her bags! I'm glad me not spilling to you about Scream 4 had you thinking and made you forget to vote.

Hines Ward and Chelsa Cane are winning with the judges.. I've been impressed by Chelsa every week. Mark Ballas has done some cool choreography .. The Harry Potter theme was stylish last week.

Oh .. I thought it was great when Hines complimented Ralph and put on the Karate Kid fashion statement.

And Ronnie.. I've been voting for Ralph Macchio every week.. the things I do for you. ha.. I'm just glad you have Ralph.. otherwise, it might be the things I don't do for you.

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

The results show is half way through right now. Good show so far. I know some of you already know who went home.

Haha that was too funny when they did the 'exposed' segment!

Awww val. you vote for ralph.."your the best..around!" [Wink] [Big Grin]

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

So tonight was guilty pleasures night.

I have to say, Romeo totaly won me over with his choice of 'My Heart Will Go On' from the movie Titanic...him admitting he's a hopeless romantic was too cute...I love that in a guy. [Smile]
Great job on the dance too!

Kendra was shaking everything she had from here to there haha. I thought she did good.

I didn't get to see Hines but imagine he did well?

Ralph and karina had a mishap...I felt so bad..ralph was totally thrown off for a moment.

Kirstie and a clean shaven Maks...I like it! Their dance was great.

Chelsea and mark were awesome as always. They mesh together so well.

I agreed with the judges about chris's dance.

Weird seeing the hanson bros performing haha. I have no clue who's going home tomorow???

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Hanson must have been Tom Bergeron's guilty pleasure.. I was never a Hanson fan.. but thought they had fun with it.

Ronnie.. I totally agree .. Lil' Romeo and Chelsie Hightower stole the show with that dance and the moment of the night with that unplanned kiss. I do think Romeo got a bit greedy waiting on their scores when he announced that he thought he deserved a kiss from Brooke Burke too. [Eek!]

But as much as I'm hoping for Ralph to win this thing.. I'm most impressed by Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas. They deliver an inspiring and creative performance every week.. but I just don't think she has the fan vote.

Also, while I enjoy Hine Ward and Kym Johnson's performances and definitely the tunes he brings each week.. I'm not quite seeing what the judges are scoring. He had what I thought was his worst dance of the competition last night and still received three 9s?? Very puzzling for me.

And no way on Kendra from me.. She shook like a salt shaker last night.. but that is all I'm seeing from her. But I still think she has the fan vote and will be staying tonight.

And poor Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff .. first off.. Ralph was beyond distracting in that costume .. and then it took out Karina to boot. I will say that after they regrouped.. it might have been the best dancing I've seen from them yet.

In the end, I gave 5 votes for Ralph and 2 votes for Lil Romeo.

And who's going home?

My guess is: Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

haha valley, 'shakin like a salt shaker'.. that was funny!

and i keep forgetting the 'lil' part to Romeo's name. and you thought, him wanting a kiss from Brooke was being greedy??? you're so jell-o. [Big Grin]

maybe Chris... heck maybe Ralph is in danger.. and by the way, i thought Ralph's hair looked cool last night.

Posted by kevdugp73 (Member # 5978) on :

Dooooohhhhhhh.....looks like I'm out of the race....I so wanted the top prize....Ralph's autograph....as promised by Valley......

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

btw, voted out this week was: Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke

Ralph Macchio has to bring it these next several weeks .. no mistakes. He has the fans .. but it will be quite scary from here on out.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Ralph Macchio easily moved into the final five contestants on Dancing With The Stars.

The judges still seem to be smitten with Hines Ward.. so he has moved into the favorite role in my opinion.

Personally, I feel like Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas are the most creative and actual the best on the floor, but Chelsea clearly doesn't have the fans vote since she's been on the hotseat twice.

And lil Romeo had a bad week and the judges are starting pick apart his lack of technical skills now that the competition is getting tight.

Anyway.. Veronica will not be happy with this, but voted out this week were:

Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

i have to say that Kendra was a good sport about being voted off.

one thing i notice about DWTS, is that these 'stars' must really invest their emotions and their lives into the show. it looks like it takes a lot of dedication and all of them tend to experience frustration with it, but it seems to be a journey they all come to love and appreciate. you can tell by the way they come across after being voted off.

valley - i agree with you on Hines. he can do no wrong..

i'm glad Ralph is hanging in there haha. and i'm loving the hairstyle they've given him! hope he can stay strong and keep going.

chelsea and mark are too cute, they look great together and dance great too. i agree she might not have the huge following but i think mark's amazing creativity is coming in hand. he's awesome.

maks and kirsty haha.. she's so funny, her and maks are definitely getting points for being fun. maks might be getting votes for other reasons, too haha.

i think 'lil' Romeo does ok, and i think you're right valley, he needs to step it up now, at this stage of the competition.

did you hear that michael bolton is going to perform next week? haha

Posted by Veronica Sawyer (Member # 2221) on :

Awww Valley, yeah I was none too thrilled by Kendra's departure but I think she was ready to go home, even though I thought she did a really good job this past week.

My pick to win would be Chelsea. Her performances are always fun to watch and she is the most consistent of all the contestants.

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

so it looks like Ralph might be ousted tonight.. he got the lowest scores and we'll see if the votes keep him alive, but i don't know. [Frown] i felt bad about the injury but his effort was awesome.

i'm loving Maks and Kirstie! i think she's safe, for sure.

Romeo and Chelsea might be in trouble? but i loved his waltz and the Britney song they danced to.

Hines and Kim are still getting super high scores and i don't see the "wow" factor in their dances but it seems to impress the judges every week. plus, Steeler nation is helping them out, as well.

Mark and Chelsea...always great and they might win, if they can out do Hines.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Ralph is in trouble .. he will need the fact that most of his fans still have a 'major' crush on him to save from elimination.

Hines walks on water according to the judges??

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Are you serious? That was sad ..

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

wait a second..

Daniel Larusso's gonna dance?

Ralph Macchio survives to the semi-finals!

I actually watched a bunch this week....i'm glad Ralph is still in it........but who is putting eyeyliner on the dude??!! c'mon

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Voted out last night:

Lil' Romeo and Chelsie Hightower

I wasn't joking above.. I was a bit sad last night.. because lil Romeo grew up a ton on the show and you could tell that dancing together had caused him to develop a 'crush' of sorts on Chelsie. Totally enjoyed the comment about still being able to dance together even though they were voted off.

But Ralph surviving is turning into the 'All Valley Karate Tournament' all over again. Keep fighting Danielson! [Cool]

The semi-finals are next week on DWTS and both Kristie Alley and Ralph Macchio are still in the competition.  However, I'm majorly concerned about Ralph's injury and the pains he is battling.. with three dances next week .. will he be able to work in enough practice time to stay in the competition?

 -

But the real question is which Rewinder is going to win the coveted Tony Manero 'Staying Alive' DWTS mirror ball?

Here is who is still in the running:

Coop424 - Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Ronnie - Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff

Paul - Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas

Devo - Hines Ward and Kym Johnson

And here's a little inspiration for everyone:

Tony Manero

aww Muffy, what's wrong with a little guy-liner and man-scara haha.. i love makeup!

btw, great pic, Val... that was for me, right? [Big Grin]

so Ralph survives. but i still think it's between Hines and Chelsea to win.

Well.. Ralph Macchio needs the fans votes more than ever. He is not a darling of the judges in the least. Overall, it might be time for Ralph to go home.. but it is cliser than the judges give him credit for.

The underdog spirit of The Karate Kid lives on! [Cool]

In my opinion.. Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas are the best on the floor.

Valley, do you think Kirsty's dances are better than Ralph's?

i think it should be either Kirstie or Ralph to go home.

i still think Chelsea has the best chance of winning it all but i also think Hines has the following to beat her too. and while i think Chelsea is the better dancer over Hines.. she's not as good as Jennifer Grey. sorry, i know that comparison shouldn't even be there haha..

Well, last night was a sad night for me.

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff were voted off and what hurt most was how crushing it appeared to be to Ralph. [Frown]

I don't think Ralph was the best dancer and quite possibly deserved to go home.. but the treatment he received from the judges just left me feeling almost bitter about DWTS. No way Kristie should have been 6pts ahead of Ralph heading into the fan vote.

I'll be surprised if Hines Ward and Kym Johnson don't win.. but I still think Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas are the best.

I thought Ralph's fans would carry him further. A great dancer, maybe not the best, but again ,figured his fame would push him through til the end.

Kev .. I hoped so too.. but I don't quite understand the fan votes and how that all works. I think the issue was that they also set it up this year so that the fan vote was minimized a bit with the 15 extra bonus points etc.

It was still fun to watch!

So last night was a letdown of a DWTS finale in my opinion. It was already disappointing with Ralph Macchio not included, but the dances last night overall were less than stellar despite the judges dishing out 10 like candy.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got 9's, but both dances were not very good. I give them credit for bravery, but the lifts were awkward and both dances lacked flow. And Kristie.. that last outfit was not flattering.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas first dance was edgy and brilliant and my fav dance of the night. I was expecting greatness in their freestyle, but as Ronnie mentioned to me.. it came across as 'sloppy and wild'.

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson with the scores they received last night and the Steeler nation fan vote. It is virtually a lock for them to win now.. even with one dance left tonight. I was disappointed majorly in their freestyle .. incredible lifts.. but the rest was lacking. But they still got 10's??

Your thoughts?

I'm sure this is no surprise at this point.. but the winner of DWTS was:

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson

so that makes Devo the winner of our first DWTS Tony Manero Rewind disco ball!!

Congrats
