Well stick with the 80's slasher theme go for Michael Myers/Freddy or Jason Vorhees. Now i always think the women should go as Elvira.

Here are a few ideas...

80's Girl:

 -

Joan Jett

Of course with the release of the movie "The Runaways" you might see a few clones at the party.. like Pat Benatar in the 80's.

You need to play this background music when you enter the party!

Chris Parker

Awesome coat and scarf, but having three kids tag-a-long with you to a frat party could be a bummer. But as you know you can borrow my Thor helmet anytime!

Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues!

This one is awesome Valley! Chris Parker!! a strong 80's woman character....do you think people would know who I am? a coat the gloves and that scarf maybe a curly wig? lol

been thinking about going as Maddie Hayes shoulder pads and a cool 80's suit....haha no one would know who I was??!! Then i'd have to explain it every time

Amaranth getting ideas? [Big Grin]

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :

Well.. Chris Parker won't be easy without Brad, Daryl, and Sara, but it you carried around a Thor helmet and a rollerskate it might just work..

wait.. a copy of the March 1987 issue of Playboy would be perfect!

I loved "Moonlighting", but without David with you.. no way they will get it.

How about as Inspector Gadget, if a reasonable amount of gadgets could be located and mounted about the person safely? I myself have often considered going as the Inspector some day.

I'm going to a Halloween party on Saturday with my wife and some friends (bless me mudder and fadder for babysittin' for the night). Last year I went as Rowdy Rody Piper of WWF fame and got some pretty positive feedback. This year, looks like a sterotypical 80's dude....got a "big hair" wig (spikey like Joan Jett's), add a head band, my wife is making me a t-sirt with 80's iron ons (any ideas re what to put on the shirt...PacMan? Rubik's Cube? Atari? Movie?) Also got a big strap for my beloved ghetto blaster, which I will carry around my shoulders. Anything else I can add? Ghetto blaster is functional so I'll likely have a few 80's tapes to play bits of songs occasionally...Van Halen - Jump, Corey Hart - Sunglasses at Night, etc. I'm a bit hesitant to bring my blaster as beer and ghetto blasters don't mix....but I think it will make the costume!

kevdug, my husband still has his "Where's the Beef" t-shirt from the 80's- maybe you could put that on your shirt, lol! The ghetto blaster should be a hit. I just got a gift catalog in the mail yesterday from JC Penney, and they are selling an "80's style boom box"!

Not completely sure if that is real or fake dandruff?

Should be a fun costume Veronica!
