Last night was 80's night for our Final 9 on Australian Idol. Turned out to be a pretty good night, with good mentoring from Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool, Mondo Rock).
The highlight of the night was Stan Walker's performance of "Purple Rain" -
An interesting feature of Australian Idol this year is that we don't have a result show any more. Instead, the previous weeks bottom 3 is revealed at the start of the show, and the lowest votegetter is eliminated without performing that night. Results shows were pretty boring, and now they get done in 10 minutes what used to take an hour!
