I am a hugh fan of the Vampire Chronicles, I want to touch base with those who also enjoy her works, My fav book is Memnoch The Devil, closely followed by the Vampire Lestat. Its a shame about the movie Queen of the Damned though Interview was good.
What are your thoughts would love to know [Smile]

Sorry Mark...love Vampires, but havn't read the books. I have Memnoch The Devil so hopefully will get a chance to read the series some day. Reading is quite a bit lower on the priority list with a toddler...busy all day...tired all night! * I read probably 10 - 15 books per day...but they're all colorful and usually less than 20 pages long...and with big letters...and usually rhyme! My little guy may be turning into a book worm...I envision in a few years that I'll be able to read my own books, along side my son...ahhh...the dream.

Memnoch the Devil is a fascinating book. I've read the series up to that point, I tried reading Armand the Vampire but found it too tedious and gave up.

I really love Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches series too. Keeping track of the family lineage in those books is hard work though!

I think the only ones I read were the three "Interview with the Vampire" ones. I liked the first one. The second one was okay. Queen Of The Damned? I dont even think I finished it: I hated that book (and the movie sucked too!)

Interview With The Vampire is one of my favourite movies, but I've not read the books. Now Queen Of The Damned is a ridiculous movie, but I'd keep it for its macabre curiosity value: being Alliyah's last film and all.

The only Anne Rice novel I've ever read was Servant Of The Bones, quite convoluted if I recall, but OK overall.

Honestly, most everything I've read by Anne Rice bored me..so I don't think there's anything of hers I can say I enjoyed...there are some other authors though that wrote much better vampire stories.
