What's your bigger passion? If you were forced to live the rest of your life with only one or the other which one would you choose?

I know. I know probably a very tough decision for some of us and maybe not so tough for others.

I enjoy watching a good movie as much as the next guy but in all honesty my life would be a whole lot emptier if I could never hear a great song again. So If I had to choose which one to keep in my life it would be music.

Great topic! I'd have to pick music. I love movies but at the same time nothing beats a great song.....

I have music playing all day, every day, for the most part. Plus I play guitar and sing..so I'd have to pick music as well. Although, if I picked movies...I'd just hope they play some really good songs during the movie....

No contest for me....I eat, sleep, and s**t music. I'd die without it, it is running through my veins 24/7, it is my life!

Terrific topic... I've always said that if I had to choose between being blind or deaf, I'd take the blindness so I could still enjoy music.

Music is the air that I breath.

Well I'll be the first to pick films. They're my escape, I would go crazy (or crazier? [Razz] ) without them. Plus at least I'd still have the music in the films.

Man, I'm on the fence on this one. Couldn't live without either. I've seen a lot of movies though, so music might be more precious to me if I had the choose one.

Definately music.
I often find myself asking myself "What would be worse: going blind or going deaf?" and the answer always comes up "Going deaf...cuz then -even though I could still watch movies and read sub-titles -I would never be able to hear music again".

Wow. Difficult choice. I'd have to pick music though I think. I don't know if I could survive knowing I could never hear Broken again.

Movies!!! I really don't care too much about music! Haven't bought a cd since the late 90's!

I am going to go with movies as my first choice too. I always try to watch at least one movie per week, although with the weather getting nicer, duty calls with planting flowers, weeding, etc.
If this was the 80's or 90's I would have gone with music- I was never home enough to sit and watch a movie unless we were snowed in.
I think that in my old age, I just enjoy sitting on the couch with my popcorn and relaxing with a good movie. And I hate extremely loud music- it hurts my ears. I am borderline for getting a hearing aid (just got tested 2 months ago), so I don't want to do any more damage either.

I'd go with movies as well. There are plenty great movies with kick-@ss soundtracks...

But if you could only watch movies does that mean you wouldn't be allowed access to the soundtrack or when it plays parts of the soundtrack in the movie?

Stop trying to twist things Motley [Razz]

Actually (backtrack, backtrack [Wink] [Razz] ) I've just been thinking if the question had been specifically 'Live music vs Films' no way would I have been as quick to answer. My head hurts. -
