Cute cats Sammy, I especially like the first pic. I like cats, but I am highly allergic to them. On Sunday, I just walked into our friend's house and had an allergy attack; I had leave.

Had to take my baby "Flash" to the vet. She was leaving "presents" for me around the house. She has a urinary track infection. AGAIN!!! What a pain. She gets them all of the time. I just LOVE giving her the medicine. I wear most of it... [Smile] I'm going to put her on this expensive prescription food to see if it gets rid of it this time... Poor kitty...

She looks a lot like this beauty...

How to give a cat a pill.

Right there with you jdoc...I couldn't even guess how much money I've spent on our male cat Willis...gotta be upwards of $2000 by now. Kinda mastered the whole pill thing after a while...choke hold from behind...I love when you finally think you've accomplished something...and get the pill in their mouth....then they spit it back on the floor...ahhh...the agony of defeat. Same cat also started taking violent seizures....we changed his food and they immediately stopped...he always ate Weight Control Iams....and for years there were no problems, but out of the blue started with the seizures...scary stuff....

That's scary! I use Iams. Actually, I just started cutting them over to prescription cat food so as to prevent future infections... [Smile]

This helps to regulate the cats PH balance

Yeah...that's the same stuff they gave us. There are other brands that basically provide the same thing....read the labels and looks for the same nutrients and medicine...should be able to find the same thing...only cheaper...that vet stuff is expensive. I have four cats and it was near impossible to regulate and seperate from the rest...so we just let them all eat it....became way too expensive.

Re Iams.....we used it for years with no problems...and I know lots of others who use it as well....for some reason...my cat started reacting to it...his seizures were horrible....twisted back...head banging off the floor...froth at the mouth. But...absolutely sure it was the cat food....had the seizures for months and were getting to a point of every two days or so.....we changed food....by chance...and they stopped immediately, and he hasn't had one since...about a year now. Good luck with your kitty jdoc....

I have a question for you all, especially if you own a dog. My friend's dog has had 3 seizures in the past 2 months. I am wondering if it could be from his food, or maybe flea medicine or even the stuff my friend puts in his food to help reduce shedding. Has anyone else had this problem with their dog? Thanks if you can help and for your opinions. I personally think she should find a new vet.

Pitts....as I've done with my cat (read above)...it wouldn't hurt to try changing food and temporarily eliminating the other things to see if the seizures will go away...the results were immediate for my cat...Willis was having up to 4 seizures a week at the end of it....worth a shot.....
