Muffster, I've been reading about the events that occurred and it is beyond shocking what happened to her. My understanding is that she fell skiing and thought she was okay, but later started feeling worse and by the time she got to the hospital it was too late to help her. Very scary stuff.

She was an outstanding actress.

Sad indeed. I really liked her in Waking Up in Reno as Lonny Earl's (Billy Bob Thornton's)wife......

Really sad tragedy that happened not too far from here. She was great and left this world far too soon.

I didn't know anything about that. What a terrible thing to happen. I just read the article. They don't say exactly how she died, it says she fell. What does that mean? And what were her injuries that caused her to die? That's really awful. Skiing is so dangerous. When we went to see The Starship in concert- just a few years ago at a Ski Resort- the day before we got there- a skier was killed because they collided with a snow boarder. That was actually only the 3rd fatality in over 80 years.

But, it is dangerous just for breaking a leg.

She was only 45 years old.

The way the headlines have been reading the past couple days I figured her chances of pulling through were bleak. Still a shock when it actually happens though.

I was reading about this some more...Mont Tremblant is a ski resort that my Uncle's parents use to work at...they use to own and operate ski resorts all over Canada and the New England states...they wrote a book about their experiences...and Walt Disney bought the rights to their book, and made it in to the Disney movie "The Snowball Express".
My Uncle was an amazing skier- he was on the Harvard varisty ski team, and was training for the Olympics, when he was in a bad vehicle accident.

I had never heard of that place, except through them.... and that's where she died at.

It said she died from head injuries, because she was not wearing a ski helmet.

That's sad.

I have never been skiing ever. It always looked fun, but it always scared me, especially after watching "The Other Side of the Mountain".

Head injuries like that are scary business. You think it's nothing, you feel fine, and a few hours later you're in serious peril. I know someone who died in a similar fashion. Sad, sad story. I feel for her family.

Terrible news, great star of the stage & screen, one of Natasha Richardson's best performances was as Mary in 'Chelsea Walls'.

Sad story, and she was way too young to pass away.
Another sad story- someone who makes a thread about someone passing away into yet another story about her and her family, and her family's family, etc. etc.

I hope Liam Neeson and his sons are doing okay- what a shocker to lose their wife and mother in such a freak accident.
