i was thinking about joining but i wonder..can you rent old tv shows on dvd through netflix?

for example, i want to see the I DREAM OF JEANNIE seasons one by one.. would netflix have old stuff like that available so that i don't have to go out and spend almost 30.00 for one season?
the video stores tend to carry only the popular recent stuff for rent.

there are other older shows i would like to rent like MAGNUM P.I... instead of going out and buying each one.

they have a great selection. Im not sure about JEANIE but I rented a seson of TAXI from them and they would just send them to me one disc at a time.

you can go on the NETFLIX webiste and look at what they have and dont have before you join up.

I know they have the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew mysteries. It is free to watch them on your computer if you register for Netflix. Unfortuneately, I haven't had time to watch any. Check out their website, they explain everything to you and you can also search through the dvd's. I like it, even though I kind of miss going to the video store. It's very convenient.

I got Miami Vice on there when i first got my membership. Be cautious though. If you start getting them (I had the 3 at a time plan) and watching and returning them in too fast a time frame (to the Netflix folks) mysteriously the movies on your list will start becoming unavailable/not in stock. I tried to time mine where I'd get the new releases on a Tuesday and was constantly being backlogged. New releases are so hit and miss plus most of the older movies/tv shows I like I buy so I canceled because there was not a lot for me to pick from. They do have a lot of concert DVD's and some you can't find for rent or are hard to find to buy......
