I found an old friend of mine through classmates.com. It was very cool to talk to him again. We were good friends in the 80s. We sat together at lunch, and were in the same clubs together, and hung out with alot of the same people. I had wondered if anyone else has ever reconnected with anyone from their past. There are several people out there that I would love to talk to again. I have found a few of them. It is just nice to connect again, it's like they know your whole history, and everything about the place you lived, the people you knew, it is so cool to talk to someone that has that connection to your past.

I've found classmates.com and facebook.com to be pretty good for this...

I occassionally bump into someone around town that I went to high school with, but I've never run into anyone that I used to be really close with like an old friend or girlfriend. I have a really good memory, so I remember everyone, but all the people I've run into don't recognize me from Adam.

I don't like Classmates.com for the simple fact that you have to pay. Sure, you can join for free, but if you want to send e-mails or anything you must be a member. That's why I like Myspace. I've reconnected with people I went to high school and college with, and it's free.

I've made contact with a lot of old friends on Facebook, even people from Primary school back in the early 80's.

I had a friend contact me last year through classmates.com, back when I could still read the emails sent to me. Now I would have to "join" and pay their damn fee if I want to read any other emails. My friend moved back to our hometown to help take care of her mother, who has Alzheimers. She is married and has FIVE kids! There are a few people I have found through myspace, which I like cuz it's free.
Last month I ran into a woman who used to work with me about 15-18 years ago. I recognized her right away, even though she has probably lost at least 40 lbs. She still has a beautiful face. It took her a minute to place me, because I have gone the opposite way and gained weight since I knew her.

I don't like that you have to pay money for it either...They say it's like $3.00 a month- but you have to pay it a year in advance, and I don't like giving out my credit card info to things like that...because I have had too many things happen like that- where I look at my statement, and there will be a charge for some "fraud insurance" or something stupid, and I never gave the authority for people to do that. That has happened to me at least 3 times, and my mom at least once. Anyway....I got an email saying someone signed my guestbook, and if I wanted to see what it said to pay for the premium membership. You pay for it out of curiosity...and then find out it's nobody you ever heard of, it's probably someone that works for classmates.com that went around signing everyone's guestbook just to say hi, and welcome to classmates.

I already signed up for facebook, but rarely go to that site. I'll stick with myspace.

I tried facebook personally I prefer myspace. My space's sleek, low to the ground design combined with an undeniable extremely fuel efficient engine and 24/7 roadside assistance along with a low APR ultimately won me over in the long run........
