For reference, nobody has been asked to leave, and nobody has made anyone else leave, other than their own choice.
Some posts, and some Private Messages, were deemed out of line, and were stopped. We as moderators had some comunication with some menbers about the tone of these posts, and acted accordingly, as we have to do as moderators.
However, if that's not something that individuals can accept, then as always, feel free to go. Just don't abuse other members whilst doing so.
However, I don't want there tobe any long dissection of what and why, so this thread is locked.

Just to add my $0.02...
Its not easy to moderate when people fall out. Many boards on the web are full of "flame wars" and other such stuff.
All suffer from it from time to time.
The only action in this case was that someones "rights" to PM were temporarily suspended to allow things to "cool off" and the threads removed from the board that had caused the problem.
Hardly "draconian" action, I think you'll agree.
The rules of the board are simple. Act as you would in "real life" with the courtesy and judgement that you would use face to face and be polite or just ignore users you disagree with.
I'm happy to say that 99.9% of people are excellent examples of this on here but there will always be the odd exception.
To re-iterate: If someone is rude or overly personal or does or posts anything you don't think is acceptable, please just PM me or the mods BEFORE it goes any further and we will resolve it.
It is always tempting to reply and get personal too but "Two wrongs do not make a right"

PS: Someone asked if we (presumably the mods) read all PMs. Of course we don't. Thats why they're called private. But, of course, servers keep logs of everything so we can if we need to...
In this case the entire contents of a PM thread was sent to the mods for evaluation by another user, if that helps people to understand what has gone on.
