The final chapter comes to a close on the life of one Michael Crichton, who succumbed to cancer today aged 66.

A popular, prolific and talented author; some of his best known works include ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘Sphere’ and ‘Westworld’. Crichton also created ‘E.R’ & co-directed John McTerran’s adaptation of his 'Beuwolf' inspired novel ‘Eaters Of The Dead’ a.k.a. ‘The 13th Warrior’.

R.I.P What a shame... Did you know he was 6 foot 9 inches tall?

Jurassic Park was my favorite...

I liked "Airframe", about a female airline investigator, who is trying to discover why a perfectly good jet plane lost control mid air. I guess it's one of his lesser know books coz it hasn't been made into a film.

jdocster, no I didn't know he was 6 ft 9", truly a giant amongst men! Sphere was great, 80srocked; I've seen the movie a surprising amount of times, and even though its built around a series of twists its always entertaining. Stich, I've not read many of his books; I imagine its only a matter of time before they turn 'Airframe' into a movie.
