Do you play them on people?

My husband and son are constantly doing things to scare me or they goof off constantly.

When we were at the resort last weekend, they were running in the halls- it was like in The Shining...and they would hide behind something, and then jump out and scare me and my mom when we walked past them...sometimes other people got in front of us, and then they jumped out, and they scared themselves...everyone laughed about it.

Me and my mom were staying in one room, and my husband and son stayed in another...but the rooms actually connected...and I leaned up to shut the door-it was cracked open, and my husband flung the door open and said Boo. It scared me half to death. I screamed, then my mom screamed.

Today...I was getting ready to make a coffee cake for breakfast tomorrow, I was doing something in the sink, and I turned the water on, and I got sprayed with the spray nozzle...I was soaked...I looked, and there was a rubber band on the nozzle. I call my son, and he says "what mom"- all innocent...and I said did you do that...and he laughed his head off...then he saw I was completely soak, then he ran in fear of his life. But, I couldn't believe he thought that up.

Then I tell them...just wait...cause I'll pay them both back...

it was like April Fool's Day in my own home today.

I was wondering if anyone else has someone that likes to torment them?

I only play jokes on April Fools Day, usually on my boss. One time I arranged all the keys on his keyboard into alphabetical order. He is a hunt'n'peck typist, so was just searching for letters and had no idea until he looked at the screen that he was actually typing gibberish!
The next year I shrinkwrapped the entrance to his office, he walked in early in the morning and ran face first into it, leaving a great facial impression on the plastic wrap!!

I used to play practical jokes all the time, some of them quite full on, until I read the Stephen King book "Needfull Things". That stopped my practical joking dead in it's tracks.

I was always quite a joker in my days....and still am. Sometimes a bit over the top. I have done that trick with the sink, plastic wrap on the toilet seat(sorry ladies), taking the lid off of a jar of sugar in a diner and flipping it upside down....then rest the lid on the jar....the waitresses always loved me for that. Lots more.

Well....the other day...I got a call first thing in the morning from a guy who works with my husband....he told me not to use the windshield wiper fluid in my van. I usually am driving our car, but my husband switched with me, so I could go pick up some things that wouldn't fit in my car.

When my husband's friend saw he was driving our car, he had a fit...because he had rigged a hose up right under the steering wheel, so that when my husband used the windshield wiper fluid...he got squirted with it.

He called me...freaked out that I would have been squirted...cause all the guys he works with said...they were going to kill him if he got me mad at them...because I bake them cookies and brownies all the time.

They do stuff to each other all the time. My husband had duct taped that guys tool box shut. My husband took the doors off his car, and his wheels. He put vaseline on his car door handle.

One time all the guys my husband works with, they switched the desk drawers on my husband with another guy...they were identical, but all my husband's stuff was in the other guy's desk.

They constantly do stuff to each other.

I think it makes life more fun.

I just can never think anything up to get them back on.

Playing practical jokes on friends and family is always in good fun and fairgame. But playing a joke like the sugar trick that causes somebody extra work while they're at their job isn't too cool in my book.

I try not to scare people anymore...cause I'm so darn good at it! When I was younger, I used to stand around corners and doors for hours if I thought I could scare someone....i've got the Ninja silence tecnique down.....I can sneak up on anyone. I have a life size wooden coffin for my Halloween display and desperately want to lay in it to scare people...I don't have the heart to do it anymore. Last year, a few young kids wouldn't come to our house because they were too scared...I do the display "for" the kids, so i may have to tone it down a bit. There's a show called " Just for Laughs - Gags" which is all about practical jokes....I bust a gut watching it. Cheers!
