Soon I won't be around for awhile...so I hope everyone posts lots of stuff.

I'll be gone alot tomorrow....friday and Saturday I am helping my friend do a Christmas in July event at her Christmas Shop...I am a featured artist there, and will be busy doing that. Then Sunday I'll be packing for vacation...and we leave early Monday morning to go to Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens.

Anyone else ever been there? I was there when I was 14. My son and husband have never been there...we are taking my son's best friend. I am excited.

Here's the website for where I am going....

www.colonialwilliamsburg.org

We are staying in the Historical area...and have reservations at one of the historical taverns for diner on Monday night...I can't wait to get away.

I have had guests here for the past 3 nights, and I want to be a guest somewhere else now.

Yippee!

Have fun while I am gone. I'll be thinking about you all- [Wink] [Big Grin] [Smile]

My sister either has been or is going to be in The Colonial Williamsburg area soon too. My nephew who is in the Air Force is stationed in the Norfolk area.

Wish I could have traveled somewhere this summer since I haven't worked since May. Unfortunately don't think my back could have handled a lengthy car, train, plane or bus trip.

Oh well there's always next year for me.

Have fun on your trip.

Hope you have a great time Isis... I remember studying Williamsburg in my American History class in high school (which was so long ago there wasn't much to learn!)

I'll see what I can do about bringing home a Colonial Colonel. The only Mustard I'll probably be able to find will be some "Grey Poupon".

[Wink]

I am getting ready to go to my friend's Christmas shop today for our Christmas in July thing...my friend spent the night last night, we stayed up and watched Lucas ...she never saw it before. I am waiting for the girl to get here who makes all my soaps and lotions and stuff for the B & B, she's a vendor today too.

Tomorrow I'll be packing...I am pretty much set...I pre plan everything, so I never am in a rush to do anything.

Thanks for all the warm wishes.

Keep the 80's Alive!

I am back from vacation. I am exhausted...mostly from the heat...it was almost 100 every day. We went to Busch Gardens twice. I can't believe I was there last night...less than 24 hours ago...riding a ride called Corkscrew Hill-getting whiplash, and now I am back home. I hate the driving part of going on vacation...today there were several major wrecks...one was a tractor trailor had flipped and we were stuck in traffic...that makes me nervous and I get motion sick.

The amusement park was beautiful, but it really didn't have alot of rides. I rode the Loch Ness Monster-because I rode it when I was 15...which was almost 25 years ago, and this year was the 30th anniversary for that ride....it wasn't as fun as I remembered. When I was a kid I rode it 6 times in a row...I got off it this time, and thought I'd die.

We went to Colonial Williamsburg, we went to Water Country USA, we went go-kart riding, and went on the water bumper boats.

My favorite thing was we went to the Yankee Candle Store...it is their 2nd biggest store they own. It had this whole village area inside it, and the sky was like a hologram of a real sky and the clouds changed formations, and there was a whole Christmas village inside ...and there was a machine in it that made actual snowflakes...and they would fall from the sky like real snow....it was so cool. I could have stayed there all day.

My other favorite thing we did, was we went to a Japanese restaurant where they cook your food on a Hibachi grill right in front of you. I have heard of them...like Bennihana, but I had never been to one...it was so much fun and the food was awesome. Has anyone ever done that?

Jaws and Jaws 2 were playing on AMC for 2 days in a row....my son's friend had never seen Jaws, so they watched it.

We played mini golf, and we toured the historical areas, and we went to Ripley's Believe it or Not. I actually can't believe how much we did over a few days. We played at an arcade. I almost beat the high score on Mrs. PacMan...I only needed 5,000 more points...the high score was 116,000 points. I won a Batman stuffed doll on the Crane game...1st try...my son's best friend is a hug Batman fan, I gave it to him.

I hope everyone had a great week. I am glad to be home...going anywhere always makes me appreciate my own home even more.

Sounds like you had fun. Cool. Nice to have you back. It's way to quiet around here when your gone. Nobody has much to say. [Big Grin]

I always have so much to say and I am always thinking up goofy ideas about all kinds of stuff.....

I just got done writing to my friend...her neice made a dress out of Skittle candy bar wrappers, and another one out of potato chip bags...I told her to contact Ripley's Believe it or Not to have them put her stuff on display.

When I was there I couldn't believe the stuff they had, and I feel like that would be the perfect place for her stuff to go to.
