I was thinking about this today because I have guests here who drove clear from Maryland to come to my place...I am so happy...because most of the people who stay here...are coming to this area...and they already have plans...and they know what they are here to do...this young couple came here because they saw my website...and they loved my Gazebo bathroom, that has a Gazebo built around a jacuzzi...anyway...when they got here...they had absolutely no plans to go anywhere....so I sent them to a Cavern you can see by boat...and a wildlife park, and then they went tubing down a river...which I called about last night...they rent tubes, and kayaks and canoes there...

I haven't gone canoeing since high school. We did a junior class picnic and then we did a senior class picnic.

We went to this big park place that had bumper boats ...everyone camps at this place...it's like out of a movie...there's horse back riding...and we all went canoeing....it was so much fun....I rode with 3 of my girlfriends, and my best guy friend (he taught me how to drive)...and we packed a picnic and everyone drove in their own car to the junior class one, but it was done officially through our school for our senior class picnic.

I remember none of my friends new how to cook...everyone took chips and hot dogs...and I made deviled eggs...and I remember everyone grabbed them and ate them ....they were excited someone had "made" something.

I remember we all played volleyball. I can remember I had cut off jean shorts on, and this white buttoned up shirt that I had tied in a knot ...everyone wore their shirts like that back then.

All the guys wore those cropped muscle shirts-remember them?

Now I want to go canoeing again.

I remember going one other time with my mom, and she had us paddling around in a circle...then my brother and his best friend came and flipped us out of the canoe.

Those are memories to me that remind me why I love the movie Meatballs so much!
