So Deadpool Mania has hit and this movie seems to be all the buzz lately. I'm too lazy to look up the actual Box Office numbers, but last I checked they were HUGE! I haven't seen this yet but I'm thinking of seeing it just to see if all the hype is accurate and it is as kick *** as everyone says it is. Or I may just wait for Bluray..dunno yet. So who here has seen this one? Is it as good as they say? Discuss...give spoilers....hell, I don't think we care here. I just hope we start seeing some great deals on chimichangas here soon now because of this.

I have not seen it and will not see it since all movies I see nowadays are with my 10 year old and it is Rated R.
I noticed it was doing well. Mom went to see it the other day. To my surprise, she didn't like it. She said it had Lots of unnecessary cussing and was kinda dumb. To each his own though. Hope you like it Pyro.

I've seen it....I really liked it! A bit crude and vulgar, but I think they were quite intentional about that...it works, and the action scenes are great. I collected/read comics in the 70's/80's but wasn't too familiar with Deadpool...didn't know that humor was such a highlight in his character. A handful of 80's pop culture references, great action, and a beautiful girl...all good!

Doesn't surprise me. You always had a potty mouth.

Did you know much about the character before seeing the film?

[Razz] Nothing at all.

I was glad it wasn't what I thought tho because as well as all the humour there were some serious, sad parts. I thought the origin scenes were fantastic and the action was fun without dragging on endlessly like some of these films do. The time just flew by.

I genuinely hoped it would be a good movie just so Sony could claw back some mileage from the Mouse. Anything that ****es off Disney is ok by me.

I have a friend who's really into comics, so even though Deadpool appeared well after I stopped reading I was aware of him and his shtick. But I kind of get the feeling that outside of comic circles nobody knew who he was.

Iīm waiting for the blu but i have my doubts because i remember reading Sins of the Past (1994) story back in the 90s and as a character Deadpool didnīt amuse me.
I know that it was a long time ago and itīs a completely different art form but... I totally hope that it will blow away those past sins for good [Smile]

OK so I finally watched this on Pay per view. And all I can say is I'm glad I didn't throw out the extra dough to see it in the theatre. For me, it was not as good as all the hype made it out to be. I didn't really laugh all that much at it. I actually laughed more playing the game which is much funnier IMO.

Devolution here,

I happen to like Deadpool a lot. I think that Reynolds is just playing what he plays in every movie, but I was thrown about the fact that it was a lot more "Adult" than superhero movies usually are.

We are DEVO

Watched Deadpool the other day and while it was well made and entertaining stuff, itīs just not type of humor i like the most.
Reynolds was pretty good and Morena Baccarini rocked. I also liked the three Hughes films references.

Still there? Go Home! [Big Grin]
