(Yes, I'm aware of the new X-wing design.)

A continuation of the saga created by George Lucas set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

It's good to know they're not just going to rely on CGI. The practical effects are looking very impressive!

Some old familiar faces..

....Buzz off, Binks!! -

What does everybody think? Is this going to blow us all away, or is it just going to blow?

Overall, i like the way it looks!

I watched The Phantom Menace when it was released but iīve never seen Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith. I just didnīt care anymore.

I hope that they will create interesting storyline for these films. Thatīs what really counts.
Creating new cgi characters/monsters/worlds is not the main thing. I believe that they finally understand it.

When i see Harrison Ford as Han Solo again, i feel that the force is strong and the magic is back!

Perhaps the question is, will this finally goad Mel Brooks into giving us Spaceballs II: The Search for More Money?

The new trailer for this just blew me away. I am so hyped for this but have to try and keep my emotions in check as I remember the trailers for Phantom Menace and how awesome they made THAT film look...

I'm as keen to see the expanded universe and am mostly interested in Rogue One.

Noms Solo [Cool]

I don't think it looks that good. It doesn't look as lighthearted and funny as the old ones. Maybe he's not showing a lot in the previews, though. Maybe it's different than it looks.

Just saw a preview on Gamespot.com that made it look more exciting. Who knows.

Seen it 3 times and can honestly recommend it. Lots of criticism on line about it being too similar to ANH but I don't care as ANH was always my favourite one anyway

A Noms Hope [Cool]

I've seen it 3 times as well Noms....love it. The new characters are likeable, great to see some old familiar faces, and the feel of the movie is nostalgic.

My husband and son went to see it at 10:30pm, the night it came out, the company my husband works for, got a private viewing of it for family. I didn't want to go to it, they didn't get home until after 1am. My son, loved it, and we went and saw it again, but I kept falling asleep through it. I didn't like it. I only like the original Star Wars movie. I don't like the actor they got that played the new bad guy, who is like the new Darth Vader- to me, he was all wrong for that part. My son went and saw it again in 3D.

It was a great movie, going some way towards eradicating the memory of episodes 1-3...

Viewing on DVD release day last night was great.

Found more stuff to laugh or gasp at, enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

So glad that all the 'Crouching Jedi Hidden Sith' rubbish was left out and the light sabre battles looked like proper sword-play instead of some Cirque Du Soleil lightshow....

I watched this again the other night too Paul...continue to love it. Though, gotta say...I'm just not sure about Adam Driver...the more I see him...the more I dislike him as Kylo Ren. To be clear, I still love the character and the acting part is fine...great with his mask "ON"........trying to find a nice way to say....I just don't like his face!!! Shame on me I know. Still has a Harry Potter feel to me, and I just don't think they tried hard enough to cast someone who remotely resembles Han or Leia. Picky, I know....

I'm on the fence about this. I thought it was good but not great when I saw it in the theater. Bought it the other day and got half way through it and turned it off.

Kylo Ren was certainly the weak link, for several reasons. Firstly, it's very clear with his interactions with the General that he's subservient - and very much so. Vader never gave that impression, even when complying with orders not to strangle people around the boardroom table.

Secondly, his character changed far too frequently and far too suddenly for me, it's as if he had a supervillain/superwimp switch that kept getting flipped.

And thirdly (and most importantly) he should never EVER have taken off the mask. Regency fops do not great villains make, and once the hair came out, it was as if Baldrick was appearing at any moment.

They way killed off an iconic character was horrendously bad. Han Solo, just pushed off a bridge. It was a very poor way to kill of such huge and integral character. The film didn't do much for me so I didn't bother with the other two.
