Anyone seen this movie. This is the kind of movies being made in my neck of the woods (South Australia). Ultra disturbing movie and I am sure stuff like this probably happens more often than most people think.

Please watch it. It's a kind of Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets the outback (sort of).

Here it is on Youtube

I want a full report tomorrow using correct CLO index procedures [Big Grin]

Devolution here,

This is a crazy movie. I liked it, but it's very much in the "Cabin Fever/ Turistas" genre.

Bernie this is why I thought you had been missing from the rewind for so long I just presumed you had been abducted by the backwoods hillbilly serial killer from wolf creek.

What with wolf creek, snow town(murders),storage (2009)and this true life crime series they have on satellite TV here in the u.k dealing with murders and other crimes across Australia that i've watched lately I've come to the conclusion bernie that Australia is a country full of psychopaths [Big Grin]

I think the Australian film industry has been turning out some really great movies this last decade, from wolf creek and snowtown to something such as the crocodile horror "rogue", you can easily tell that they've all been put together with a lot of thought and skill.

Wolf Creek is truly one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. I don't think I could watch it again.

Yeah, perhaps I overstated the whole Texas Massacre thing a bit. I have not seen those other movies and have not seen Storage either.

Great to see that people from around the globe have seen it. I wasn't sure if you guys would have known about it or not. I first saw it at the cinemas when it came out but just watched it again the other day (it took a number of years for me to feel safe for a rewatch). Majorly disturbing and I really do think this stuff happens more than what people think.

When it comes to Snowtown that whole thing happened not too far from where I live but it happened very much on the wrong side of the tracks. Most of it happened in a suburb called Salisbury which is a real flea pit and then the beautiful little country place called Snowtown is tarnished forever due to to the people dumping the bodies in a disused bank vault at Snowtown. To this day I really wish Salisbury got the flack and not Snowtown. They could have made that movie much better too. I think what actually happened was more disturbing than what they showed in the movie, but the director really captured the feel of the place all too well. Real flea pit. The tag line on the Wolf Creek movie poster is so true because most often these crimes go unsolved because nobody has any idea that your are missing. In the Snowtown case the first person who went missing was not even reported missing by his own family for 3 years cos they really didn't care and thought that maybe he just took off.

There's been heaps of bad stuff happen where I live. It's known as the city of churches within Adelaide. Outside of Adelaide it is known as the city of churches and serial killers.

Great, now everyone's thinking I am some sort of redneck hick.

Either way to everyone's relief or to some other's disappointment perhaps I have not been abducted by an outback serial killer.

Not seen Many if any Australian films I've actually disliked, the ones i have seen such as phar lap, razorback, the light horsemen, romper stomper amongst countless others were all great.

I can't actually ever recollect ever turning one off because I thought it sucked.

Has anyone seen the 1991 Australian movie flirting with Nicole Kidman because I have it listed as one of my next online rentals and if so is it any good?

As some of you guys know, I am doing a film degree. Today we had a very special guest in our lecture, Helen Leake who headed the South Australian Film Corporation from 2004-2007. She is also the producer of Wolf Creek 2 which is currently in post-production. Wolf Creek 2 is aimed at being released by the end of the year. Should be good!

Greg McLean, the director of Wolf Creek should be coming in after the mid-semester break to do a talk. I just wish John Jarrett Would come in all kitted out. I would literally crap myself if he walked in the door.

This message is also a heads up to keep an eye out for Wolf Creek 2. Most Aussie films struggle in the International industry but are some of the most well made films. I implore you to take notice of the films that come out of Australia. There is something very special about them. I am not being biased, it is an honest opinion coming from someone who adores films form USA to Britain to France or wherever a good film may emerge, and who's favourite film happens to be dadadaadaaaa......Caddyshack.

I actually remember seeing this at the cinema. The expression "Head on a stick" still gives me the chills!!.

I have to agree with Mr Warrior -- I don't recall ever seeing a bad Aussie movie.

Wolf Creek sounds interesting.

I have seen one bad Aussie film, Shark´s Paradise (1986).

Watched Wolf Creek last night and wow, what a film!
Disturbing and powerful, excellent modern horror.

It was good that i though the entire movie was based on a true story.
There was few breathtaking sequences in the film.
Only afterwards i learned that it also had many influences from other murders around Australia.

John Jarratt was fantastic in the lead role!
Writer/director Greg McLean said in the making-of that he wanted to create Australian Boogeyman and this guy is just that.

I see Wolf Creek 2 will have a much bigger budget.
I hope that it´ll have an interesting storyline too because the surprise killer element is gone.
