I swear Veronica wrote something about liking this movie awhile back and now I can't find her post.

I'd been on the lookout for this movie for a decent price and it was only $4 to buy today so I was on it.

The directors purpose was to emulate those thriller/horror movies we love from the 70's and 80's..........honest down to the cheesy credits, No one would know it was from 2009.

Watch this rocking scene it won't give anything away if you plan on seeing the movie.....

Anyone seen it?

I'll be hanging on.... to see what you have to say about it.......it really is all about the suspense.....and it's short, 95 mins.

hey muffy, did you end up watching this?

i saw it and you are definitely on point about the suspense!!! the whole movie was a huge build up and my goodness, it was just like watching a late 70s, early 80s movie. it had a couple of 'out of the blue' moments and was overall a good movie. very strange but still good. [Smile]

I missed this days ago Ronnie!!! I'm glad you liked it!! I agree with the buildup and the out of the blue.........I just loved that it really did feel like a 70's early 80's movie the whole time........cool Ronnie.......now did you ever finish After Hours?

I think I posted about this in the "Movies I just watched thread," I'll have to go dig it up. But anyway, I love this movie. It really feels like a movie from the early 80's. Kinda like When a Stranger Calls meets Rosemary's Baby.

I liked the 80s feel to this movie. I thought it started slow but got pretty good at the end. Also, it had Tom Noonan, who was Frankenstein in the Monster Squad!

Oh, I wanted to like this--Tom Noonan and Mary Woronov--but it was just meh. No 70s or 80s horror film would have started with a half an hour of the heroine running errands. I looked at my watch: nothing really happens until 75 minutes in. Tsk-tsk. Big letdown... Way overrated film'

I so wanted to love this but it was just ok for me [Frown] I'm a huge fan of slow films when done right. But much of this wasn't slow, but just plain old nothingness. And then after all that I wasn't even that impressed with the last 20 mins. They did do well on the 80's feel tho, totally woulda been fooled if I was just flicking channels.

I forgot about this one--another homage film that doesn't work. Heck, apart from the look of the credits, they didn't get much else right.
