Yep. I saw an interview of him about the first Halloween remake he did; he said he was glad she finally played a somewhat normal character.

Yeah I know she's his wife and all, but her voice is annoying to me. I know he loves her but he should really think about putting people that can actually act in his films. Besides she died in the first Halloween, shoulda left it that way IMO.

ali, i have heard a lot of people voicing their annoyance about zombie creating the "ghost" character of the mom, just to have his wife in the movie. so many people feel like that.
i don't know.. to me, it's kind of like.. paul rudd and company.. or tim burton and johnny depp. they kind of go hand in hand, but i can see the annoying aspect of it too.
i want to see this movie, as i love the halloween movies in general.. i just don't like the friday the 13th thing they are doing with this. so now, is michael myers still just a little boy deep down inside, killing for his mama?

That's exactly how I feel Ronnie! Like he is ripping off Friday the 13th or even Psycho.
I guess I wouldn't mind his wife being there if she could actually act but oh well...
