Has anyone seen this gem from a couple of years ago? Its a film noir set in a modern day high school, which appears to be empty for the most part. Joseph Gordon Levit turns in a stellar performance as the everyman PI trying to piece together what happened to his ex-girlfriend. They speak in 1940s film noir style, but its played straight so works well. One of those movies you either love or hate.

I think I remember seeing parts of this movie late one night. It was pretty good what I saw but didn't really follow it much due to watching it in bits and pieces. Wasn't Levit the kid from 3rd Rock From The Sun?

Levit is the kid from, 'Third Rock'.

I haven't seen 'Brick' but it's on my que on Netflix.

He will be playing, 'Cobra Commander' on upcoming 'G.I. JOE' movie.

His performance in, 'The Lookout' was great.

Kash,

"Brick" is a stellar flick. Old school film noir meets modern day high school. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an underrated actor. Also, cool to see "Solar Babies" Lukas Haas all grown up playing a lampshade character similar to The Duke of New York.

Fightertown, I loved "The Lookout" as well.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is teaming up with the quirky Zooey Deschanel for a new movie that should be entertaining.

Assistant VP Gary Trueman: You've helped this office out before.
Brendan Frye: No, I gave you Jerr to see him eaten, not to see you fed.
Assistant VP Gary Trueman: Fine. And very well put.
Brendan Frye: Accelerated English, Mrs. Kasprzyk.
Assistant VP Gary Trueman: Tough teacher?
Brendan Frye: Tough but fair.

Brendan Frye: No more of these informal chats! If you have a disciplinary issue with me, write me up or suspend me and I'll see you at the Parent-Teacher conference.
