Everyone remembers the 80's for big hair and crazy cool styles. So let's name some of the signature celebrity hairstyles that totally remind us of the the awesomeness of the decade!

 -

1. Mike Score from Flock of Seagulls - of course Flock of Seagulls are remembered for excellent tunes such as "I Ran (So Far Away)", "Space Age Love Song", and "Wishing (If I Had a Photography of You)" , but they are also extremely well known for Mike Score always sporting his ‘signature’ haircut that will forever be associated with the 80's.

2. Robert Smith from The Cure - legendary singer with electric shock hair! Always wondered if Edward Scissorhands borrow his hairstyle from Robert? Does anyone know fer shure?

What are some more signature hairstyles of 80's celebrities?

I don't think it gets any more signature than this.

The Toughest Man in the World:

Mr. T

Once I was at a quiz night and the Question was what did B.A. stand for in the A-Team and straight away I yelled out Bad Attitude knowing that I was right. The guy said I was wrong and that it stood for Bosco Albert which is his actual character name but I felt totally ripped off. I seriously think that Bad Attitude was an acceptable answer. Plus I am sure that he was referred to more as Bad Attitude than he was Bosco Albert in the whole of the series. Quiz nights. They're always rigged [Mad]

Desperately Seeking Madonna- - I realize Madonna was more of a total fashion style in the 80's, but you have to admit that her hairstyle played a part in it. Teens then and now still try to duplicate it.

The 2-day (or 3-day) unshaven face look, popularized by Don Johnson in "Miami Vice".

To this day, I cannot understand why that was trendy for a while. To me, it says, "I'm too lazy to shave."

Who can forget the "Jeri-Curl"? Michael Jackson, Prince, football player Randall Cunningham, and many others wore that hairstyle.

i based my current haircut off of jack burton, capt of the pork chop express, but i dont consider it a mullet, billy ray cyrus had a mullet, the jack burton is superior and shouldnt be held in the same catagory, i leave it to you to form a title for the killer mullet that is a cut above the rest

Me and my friends parted our hair down the middle and feathered it. you could only feather it if it was getting "long".

That hair coupled with a button down collar shirt (untucked), stone washed jeans, and white Nike shoes with a red swoosh was cool beans!

Nice thread, and interesting hair-styles here. This brings back memories, since back in the '80's I actually had all of my hair - LOL. Now I'm bald, and shave off my remaining hair - but it's all good [Wink]

I still do this, even now - LOL [Wink]
