The death of the Dave Matthews band guy...made me think of how many different things we had while I was growing up...we had 2 mopeds...we had a go cart, we had a 6 wheeler-which could go in water or on land...we had 2 snowmobiles, and my brother had a mini bike.

I pretty much wiped out on everything I ever rode.

I was scared of wrecking...but I still liked to ride stuff.

I loved our moped...there was an alley in front of my house, that went to 4 other houses that were my neighbors, and I use to ride up and down the alley and sometimes I would ride to my aunt's house, who was one street over from us...I loved it.

I remember my brother worked all summer one year to save $50 for a mini bike (which seems dirt cheap now)....he rode it once, and I jumped up and down and begged him to let me ride it. My Dad made him let me. I got on it, and the throttle stuck, and it drug me through the yard...I fell off...and the bike kept going and landed in the creek in our back yard....my brother jumped over me to get to his bike...I kept saying..I'm ok...he could have cared less...to this day he has never let me forget that I wrecked his bike.

I remember I only rode the go-cart once, and I got my sock caught in the wheel, and I total wrecked my ankle.

I always fell off everything.

I loved riding my bike....I use to stand up on the seat, and do all kinds of tricks with it.

Anyone else on here...have a BMX bike-my brother did...he and his best friend use to spend all day over at the church parking lot...practicing tricks on their bikes....

or did you have a moped...I loved the Honda Elite Scooters...like so many people had in the movies...I always wanted one.

Anyone have one of those?

I owned a stunt bike called "The Scorcher" when I was a kid. Only problem was it wasn't suppose to be a stunt bike, but after several of my accidental death defying feats......that bike became a legend in my neighborhood.

We had a mini bike too, but it only made it out on special occasions.

My friends and I would rent mopeds on vacation. All I can say is I'm glad I bought the insurance.

I was a BMX-er, I felt so cool spinning around twon with that bike. I even had a red safety helmet too. Just a miracle I wasn't too hurt as I did a lot of unsafe stuff like jumps and poppa wheelies.

I loved anything that had wheels on it. Throw on a motor and it was even better. We rode BMX bikes, skateboards, mini-bikes, go-carts, mopeds, scooters, dirt-bikes, quads, three-wheelers, and rollerblades. Was a fun time.

Ok, if we count anything with wheels...then I rode my skateboard everywhere...and I had those sneaker roller skates...we use to roller skate on the side roads of our neighborhood all the time.

I broke my collarbone riding a 3 wheeler once. The front tire hit a rock and blew out. I think they've quit making them.......

Yeah, they don't make 3 wheelers any more, just 4 wheelers. They have made them more safe, but like anything it's the person driving them.

I had many mopeds back then.We had loads of fun tuning them.As we lived 15miles from the village and Mom did not have any license,it was my main form of transportation for a few years.I remember one very good.A Honda mt-5 off road 50cc,which i tuned up from 2.5hp to 8hp.It was really funny to handle.Up on 2 wheels in third gear [Karate Kid] When i finally had the age(18),i got the motorcycle license asap, and moved on to the more serious stuff.

Be well.
