For all of us who were lucky enough to watch the show during what would turn out to be their final years of glory, which parts of classic Sesame did you like the best? Note this is not set on only material produced in the 80s; anything produced over the preceding decade you'll seen while watching is game. My top 20 would have to be:

20. Alligator King

19. Ernie reairs Bert's TV--sort of ("You got the H off the screen, Ernie, but now look, it's flashing an I now!")

18. Sounds Around the House, Urban Version (the girl listening to the record player as the next-to-loudest sound was my first crush

17. A-B-C-D-E-F-Cookie Monster (and Kermit can't take it anymore...)

16. Four-armed fakir counts to 20

15. Don Music--any sketch'll do.

14. 5 Ladybugs and 5 Lizards (remember this psychedelic one teaching additional and subtraction?)

13. Sneak Peak Preivews ("Telly, watch that broken seat...WHOOOOOAAA!!")

12. the Count tries to launch his rocket to space, but is happy when it backfires so he can count back down again

11. Jazzy Spies, tripped-out legend of learning

10. Beat the Time with Cookie, rushing to find 3 things rhyming with rain, and eventually destroying Guy SMiley's studio

9. Kermit's news flash to find the Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, wherein the neighbors almost kill him, and then he's stuck watching the kids because it's bowling night!

8. Super Grover and the Computer (WUBBA WUBBA WUBBA WUBBA!!!!!)

7. Somebody Come and Play--epitome of great Raposo writing

6. Honk Around the Clock.

5. J-train in the railyard, picking up words and then crashing into JJJJunk!

4. Ernie puts too much toys into Bert's newphew Brad's bath

3. Frank Oz's first film, a red ball rolls along a silver rollercoaster, activating all kinds of noisemakers in 3s

2. Pinball Number Count, and

1. the Falling Baker ("Eight raspberry pudding desserts!!!") CRASH!

How about some of your favorites?

I really liked the cameos of music stars such as when Debbie Harry appeared.

I gotta say anything with Cookie Monster. I was always fascinated watching him eat all of those cookies and all of the crumbs fell right out of his mouth. I also was a big Snuffaluffagus fan!

The twiddlebug scenes before they were ruined by going CG. Anything with the martians that went yip yip yip yip. And remember that stop motion with the cups, Teeny Little Super Guy? I watched in the late 70s and now that my youngest watches the new episodes, I think the show just isn't of the same caliber [Frown]

The Debbie Harry segments are great! Have them on DVD [Smile]
