How many you watched this show? It was a spinoff of That 70s Show.

the show wasn't that great, but how many episodes actually aired on tv? it wasn't many, i know that.

I think it only lasted 13 episodes... I remember the ratings were awful.

The first few episodes were just terrible, but it was starting to get watchable towards the end. (I'm not necessarily saying it was good, just better...)

But yeah, the pilot episode of That '80s Show was very possibly the worst I have seen for any sitcom ever...

When it was on, I think I tried to watch each episode. The characters weren't as good as that 70's show, the male lead was weak, and other stuff didn't work. The punk girl who worked at the record store, Tuesday I think her name was, was not bad, and the sister of the male lead was kind of zany. It had it's moments, but it could of and should have been better.

I only watched a few episodes. I was really hoping for it to get funnier as it went along but it never did. Which is too bad becasue it could have been good.

Devolution here,

Too many 80's references. It just needed to be good because it was good, no one cared about every reference, they were making. If you want great references in the flow of a show, watch the Family Guy. Things that only we get are on that.

We are DEVO

Im not a huge fan of FAMILY GUY (my best friend is so a lot of the time I watch it, it's cuz I'm with him) but even I had to smile when Chris got sucked into the A-HA Take On Me video.

Agreed! The writers often seemed to rely too heavily on forced 80s refrences as jokes, which became annoying very quickly.

Family Guy is just hilarious. (and yes, being a Child of the 80s definitely helps one appreciate the humor on this show. I can imagine that many references fly over the heads of the younger viewers)

That's it, too many overkill cultural 80's references and not enough good casting or character development.

Never caught "That '80's show" but always wanted to. I don't think it's ever been on home video, or even available for streaming.

That being said, based on these posts it sounds like I didn't miss much.

I think we watched two episodes. It was one of the worst shows ever.

Guess, the opinion is that that 80's show ranks alongside turkeys like Joanie loves Chachi and the Ropers. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

The cast wasn't good and neither were the characters.
