Does anyone like it as much as I do? I've been putting off buying it on DVD, since it comes on the Biography channel every day. But I hardly ever get to see it, so I might invest in it. The Cabot Cove episodes are my favorite.

pettyfan, my husband used to tease me because I used to watch it every morning on A&E at 10:00 a.m. when I was having my chemo. He said it was an old lady show. I agree- the Cabot Cove episodes were the best. When she started traveling all over the place, I think it kinda went down hill. The actors on those episodes were really bad most of the time.
I remember Bill Mahr being in a few eps., and also Megan Mullaly was in an episode, but she looked totally different than she does now, with really long hair.
Can you think of any other stars who guested on MSW?

Assumptions on watching MSW:

1. Jessica Fletcher was a fool. She didn't need to write, she would have made a fortune being paid just to stay away from places. I know if I heard she was coming to stay near me, I'd be scared....

2. Why didn't the cops pick her up whenever she entered a town? She could well be on America's Most Wanted, the amount of murders she's involved in that she didn't ever get questioned about....

3. Surely any self-respecting murderer would have packed it in as soon as they heard she was in town? All the cops or the mayor needed to do was make sure each town had a hotel room permanently booked out in the name of Fletcher, Miss J. That way, the bad guys wouldn't have even bothered to think about killing someone.

LOL, Paul. My dad says, every time it's on, "Miss Fletcher did it. She's the biggest serial killer there ever was." Needless to say, he's not a fan!

Eightieschick-I saw a Bill Mahr episode last week, about a Cabot Cove witch. Dee Wallace Stone was in it, too. I remember the guy who played John on CHiPs was in a few. And a lot of people who were on soaps back then guested a lot.

I also liked Sheriff Metzger better than Sheriff Tupper.

Paul, you know you are right. That is really funny- my husband always wanted to know why so many damn people were getting murdered in Cabot Cove! It was good for some cheap entertainment!

Petty- I remember that episode with Dee Wallace. And I also liked Metzger better than Tupper. I wonder why he left the show?

I remember the crossover episode with Magnum P.I. That's about the extent of my Angela Lansbury fandom.

I don't know why Tom Bosley left, but I'm glad he did. When I see him I think of him as Howard Cunningham, not anything else!

Eightieschick-I know you like to read; have you read any of the Murder, She Wrote books? They're pretty good.

This is so funny that you should mention this show because I just told my boyfriend the other day that I was going to pick a new show to become addicted to and I decided that this one was going to be it. I started to watch it the other day and it was actually one that was a flashback of somekind set on a boat on the 1940's and I had to leave and didn't get to see all of it. But you are right about it being on all of the time.

I've never read a Murder She Wrote book. I didn't even know there were any! I'll have to look in the used bookstore next time I'm there.

I didn't know there were any books either. I haven't caught onto my addiction of this one yet, maybe I will change my mind???
