Sure, everyone knows the hit Your Love, but this band has soooo many good songs that nobody has ever heard. Here are some:

Believe it or not, I wan't even that aware of Your Love in the late 80's when i first heard the Outfield. I heard Voices of Babylon on the radio and I saw the video for Your paradise and I went out and bought the casette.

Cool...That makes you a true fan of The Outfield. They rock in my opinion.

Great song there too Sam. Your probably right. I forgot where I was posting for a minute. I'm used to talking to people who don't have much knowledge of music. Not like the gurus on this site. [Big Grin]

Thanks for bringing up this band. I just watched this video for the first time in years. Brought back the memories. Anyone know who the girls were in the video? One of them looks kind of Heather Graham-ish, sigh.....

Fantastic band - I still listen to their stuff regularly. Great vocals and great hooks. Really classy stuff.

However, considering they were a South London band, they hardly made any impact over here - they were way bigger in the US.

If my memory serves me correctly, they got to support the almighty Journey over on your side of the Atlantic, and over here they got to support.......

Mike And The Mechanics.

Oh dear [Wink]

Sorry - but I just can't get excited over them. I am literally the world's biggest Genesis fan, and Mike Rutherford is one of my all time heroes - a genius prog rock player and songwriter....but The Mechanics are just toooo insipid and bland for me. I really can't believe that the same man who co-wrote 'Supper's Ready' and 'Watcher Of The Skies', is also responsible for 'Over My Shoulder'!!! [Eek!]
