Devolution here,

I spent good money on Nick Heyward's - North of a Miracle.

Good stuff...

Whistle down the wind, and When it started to begin. Both songs from Sixteen Candles.

I have been embracing my inner CD buyer and stocking up because, hell, I love collecting music.

Devolution here,

I think I just died a little, and so did many others of us on the board. You haven't seen 16 candles. Next thing you tell us is that you haven't seen Ferris Bueller's Day off either.

WE are DEVO

As for the song whistle down the wind is on Youtube. Just do a search on Nick Heywards name.

I have North of a miracle on vinyl, hard to come by on cd, Devo how much cash did you part with? Nice to see other people are doing some record hunting, it makes my me feel less guilty for my endless searches. BTW, if anyone knows where I can locate a Joboxers cd let me know.

And R1B, please, please, rent, buy or steal(ok borrow) a copy of Sixteen candles, it is by no means an Apocalypse now-peak of film greatness, but it rates very high on the 80's kitsch/adolescent comedy meter.

Devolution here,

Rip, I got it for about 17 bucks on Amazon. It's a good deal. Go for it.

I'll check out that other CD for you.

This is money well spent. Great stuff! There's nothing better than collecting obscure 80's music!

Great songwriter Nick Heyward - very under-rated.

I picked up Haircut One Hundred's classic debut 'Pelican West' a couple of weeks back on vinyl for the grand total of £1!

It's even better than I remember back in the day....and I also picked up OMD's first album, and the 'Breaking Glass' soundtrack at the same time - both classics [Smile]

There is no better feeling than rediscovering some music from your youth [Smile]

Don't you start talking about Musical youth.... [Big Grin]

I recently got (on vinyl):

Yazoo - Upstairs at Erics
Duran Duran - Rio

Both could serve just as well as artwork. In fact, I may have to do that, as I don't have a turntable at the moment!
