i overheard someone talking about wall of voodoo today, and i only know of one song by them..mexican radio (of course).
so i looked up some of their music and noticed that some of their cds are being sold for a buttload of $$$....andy priebody (one of their singers) has rave reviews for his solo work and one of his cds are going for 50.00 or so?! were they that good? anyone here heard any of their other songs??

Shucky darn, I just saw two of their cd's sold in a used store a few months ago and I didn't get them. I have some vinyl though, it's kind of weird sort of Devo-like music. I guess I prefer Oingo Boingo more.

They had a song called "Call of the West" and they also did a cover version of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire"

Just read a recent Belinda Carlisle interview in a british rock mag, she named Wall of Voodoo's first album as one of her favourite saturday night records. So that would be the one to get.

Devolution here,

Oddly my favorite bands are...

DEVO
Talking Heads
Oingo Boingo

In that order.

Time to go listen to NOTHING BUT FLOWERS.

Great song by the Heads.

WE are DEVO
