The Bobby Fuller 4 was the original, in fact I think they based Eddie and the Cruisers on that group.

John Cougar/Cougar Mellencamp/Mellencamp can't hold a candle to The Clash. The Clash is definitely one of the best groups of all time where I grow less and less fond of JCM as time goes by.

John Cougar has his place, but not next to the Clash. Ever. Rolling Stone ranked London Calling #9 all time as an album. I totally agree.
