This song was playing on the radio this afternoon, and now I can't get it out of my head...

I love Foreigner. Has anyone seen them in concert recently??

DOUBLE VISION
Foreigner

Feeling down n' dirty, feeling kinda mean
I've been from one to another extreme
This time I had a good time, ain't got time to wait
I wanna stick around till I can't see straight
Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, it's always new to me
My double vision gets the best of me
Never do more than I really need
My mind is racing, but my body's in the lead
Tonight's the night, I'm gonna push it to the limit
I live all of my years in a single minute
Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, it's always new to me
My double vision always seems to get the best of me - the best of me, yeah
Ooh, double vision, I need my double vision
It takes me out of my head, takin' me out of my head
I get my double vision, oh, seeing double double
Oh, I have double vision, yeah, I'm getting double vision... (to fade)

I saw them in July of 2002. They were great. They put on a rockin' show. They definitely were feeding off the audience's energy. Lou had some difficulty with the high notes but what do you expect after 25 years! He gave a 110%. They even did his solo hit "Midnight Blue". I believe they did Say You Will as an encore.

And in case you're wondering, yes, the song is about getting drunk out of one's mind. The band confirmed this as the content on VH-1 a few years ago.

Good to hear that Lou is able to put on a great show. He had brain cancer a few years back, and had put on a lot of weight due to the steroids. I know exactly how he felt, because the same thing happened to me 5 years ago, and you get so bloated and moon faced that no one recognizes you (having no hair doesn't help either). He was so talented, and I know a lot of girls thought he was hot (In the 80's I wouldn't have tossed him outta bed, haha!). It's good to know that he's fully recovered now. Hopefully they will tour again soon so I can catch them.

Apparently Mick Jones and Lou Graham parted ways again last year. Over what, I'm not sure. Here is the latest from melodicrock.com on Foreigner.

FOREIGNER HEADING TO AUSTRALIA FOR LIVE DATES IN MAY:
Foreigner look to be heading to Australia for a series of shows in May 2006, with the band's new line up in tow. Foreigner founder/songwriter/lead guitarist/keyboardist/producer Mick Jones has assembled an exciting line-up featuring Jason Bonham on drums, bass guitarist Jeff Pilson (ex-Dokken, ex-Dio) and vocalist Kelly Hansen (ex-Hurricane), joining forces with longtime keyboardist Jeff Jacobs and rhythm guitarist/saxophonist Tom Gimbel.
Dates and details ASAP, although May 20 has been suggested for the Sydney date.

Thanks for the info. I did not realize they re-formed almost the entire band. You'd think that at their ages they could at least get along on stage, then go their seperate ways after the shows. Look at the stupid Rolling Stones- they don't all get along offstage, but seem to be making it okay!
