Wow, I was at Friday's tonight and all of a sudden I hear, "Don't put another dime in the jukebox, I don't wanna hear that song no more." I almost choked on my chicken fingers [Razz] . Nothing better than having dinner out and hearing music from the Valley Girl soundtrack. It was just so random. I mean, that's not a well known 80's song for most people. In any event, it made my night. You had to see the look on my boyfriend's face though as I sat there dancing in my seat! [Big Grin]

I walked in to an Applebee's...and Melt with You was playing...and you feel like...you have this connection to that song...that nobody else in the whole restaurant can ever come close too...like that song belongs to you. Has anyone else ever felt like that...and said..."that's MY song!!!" Like your glad it is playing...but don't anyone else think of liking it...any more than you could...cause it was playing specifically for you to hear at that moment.

Dont Put Another Dime In The Jukebox was a big hit at the dances I used to go to as a kid. Thats the only place I ever heard it!

I went to Applebees awhile ago and they were playing really good music. I guess Applebees is a little sanctuary for us.

I love it when you hear kind of obscure 80's music belting from the speakers. If you can believe it, on a cold winter day a few years ago, I was entering this strip mall when this the muzak version of I Melt with you stopped me in my tracks. I just couldn't believe it you know? Also, anyone know the other Flirts song on the album 10 cents a dance? Well I went to this club last year and the nine minute version of another song they did Passion was played. It really had a monster groove and people were really digging it.

I've also had APPLEBBEES experiences where they play a lot of 70s stuff like BEE GEES which I also really love.
There used to be a RED LOBSTER near me that played all that 70s stuff like BEE GEES, GLORIA GAYNOR, KC etc. but they changed location and for some reason they dont pump out the jams any more!
