I'll tell you this summer has been pretty damn cool so far. I got to finally see one of my favorite bands of all time for the first time. The Go Go's played The Sands Hotel in AC 2 weeks ago and it was AWESOME! It was a general admission concert so me and my boyfriend ended up in the front row. I couldn't believe Belinda was right in front of my face. I mean, hell, Beauty and the Beat was the first vinyl I bought!! They played so well together. Belinda's vocals were strong. They all looked beautiful, especially Kathy Valentine, who I never really thought was strikingly pretty until I saw her in person.

The best part however, did not happen until the next morning. Me and my boyfriend decided to get up early and do the boardwalk. So we're walking for about 3 minutes and it was pretty crowed cause the weather was so nice, and all of a sudden this women walking in the opposite direction towards me, brushes up against my arm. I look up and it's freaking Belinda and Jane!!!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] I was stunned! Belinda was sporting a ponytail and Jane had a visor on (she is SO TINY and cute) and they were just talking and laughing and having a good time. It was surreal!!

I wanted to say something but I was so taken off guard I couldn't find the words. My boyfriend and I were just like HOLY SH*T!! Unbelievable! If any of you get a chance to catch them on tour, do it. You will have a blast, I promise! Yay! I still get excited when I think about it!

BEAUTY AND THE BEAT was the first album I bought myself with my own money too.

I would love to see them in concert. Never have.

That's a great story! That reminds me of my own GoGos story. I used to work for a radio station in Milwaukee and I was covering a Brewers game. I was in the press box minding my own bizness when suddenly the GosGos walked in!

They were taking a tour of Miller Park because they were in Milwaukee for a show. They showed them on the big screen and said "Welcome the GoGos". The fans all cheered but I was so lucky cuz I was sitting right next to them!

I said hello and I love your music blah blah blah.... Belinda was very gracious said thank you and then they shuffled out the door.

I always kick myself for not getting an autograph. I mean God, they were right NEXT to me!! So cool.

Those are both cool Go Go stories.

I love them too. I thought Belinda Carlisle was gorgeous when she went on to do her solo career...I always liked her hair!!

I would definately go see them in concert if I ever got the chance.

I wanted so bad to be able to go see 38 Special this summer, they are coming to the town I use to live in for the fair, and my good friend is getting married that weekend, and we are spending the weekend at the resort that she is getting married at, cause it is kind of far to drive it back and forth for the day, so I'll miss them.

I just started going to concerts just in the past 4-5 years...and they are so awesome, I can't believe I never went to one before the year 2000. Now I wanna see everybody...and can't find them.

The Go Go's are up there on my list...right next to Rick Springfield and Def Leppard.

Isis, I think Def Leppard is playing in Wilkes-Barre at the Wachovia Arena soon! Check into it. The place is really nice. I could meet up with you!

And oh yeah, awesome story Ali. At least you had the nerve to actually say something to them. I was in slow motion, like what the hell just happened?

I saw that Cindy- I actually thought of it...I can't remember the exact date, but I thought it was somewhere in between the time I get back from the beach, and when I leave to go to my friend's wedding for the weekend...but it will be total chaos for me then... did you ever get the email I sent you awhile back about Journey coming there the beginning of September?? Do you like them?? That one...I might be able to go to...my son loves them, he has been begging me to find them in concert somewhere relatively close.

I saw them back in 1984. They're not my favorite group, but I liked them a lot.
