I think that is the name of it, it is a new reality series that is going to be on NBC this summer. It takes 10 former popular bands and let's them compete against each other to get a new recording contract. I don't know who all is omn the list but I did see Flock of Seagulls on there. I am definately going to be watching this one this summer.

It should be the name of the new crazy Britney Spears reality show.

I haven't heard about it, but it sounds like a spin off of the VH-1 show- Bands Reunited.

I actually liked that show when I saw pieces of it, we talked about it a few times on here, and then what happened?? Did they take it off the air??

I remember they couldn't get The New Kids Reunited, which was a heart breaker, especially to Cindy- [Wink]

I think that was the last one I saw, but I think it was by pure luck I saw any, cause I watch the least amount of tv right now than I ever have in my life.

You know, I am shocked at how many people do not watch tv. When I went to the Spa again the other night, both our stylists said they never watch any tv, and I was shocked, cause everyone knows I live in my own bubble...but I always figure everyone else is watching crap tv, but they aren't.

I know my Dad and Stepmother barely watch anything on TV, and my friends don't watch alot either, and they aren't on the computer either, so I am not sure what anyone does for entertainment any more?? I think they all sleep.

The Honeyz were a bland girl group from the late 90's. They had a hit single with "Finally Found" in 1998, I think it was.

Actually some of the ones that are going to be on there are:

Vanilla Ice---If I remember correctly from him being on The Surreal Life, he hates to be called that now!
Tiffany
Air Supply

I think it will be interesting to see these guys perform again. After all American Idol is over with, so now what??? HUH ISIS?

Everyone:

Here is the website about the show, from NBC.com:

I get the feeling this show is going to be almost like "American Idol" but with established performers who have seen more successful days in years past.

More like "American Has-Been Idols". [Big Grin]

I actually think it is a good idea, bring back someone that we are familiar with and make us fall in love with them all over again. Honestly isn't something like this better for the summer rather than something dumb like The Littliest Groom!!

I haven't gotten chance to see this yet? Is it worth me recording it and watching it later?

i was pretty disappointed with the first show as a whole. They had Loverboy, CeCe Penniston, Flock of Seagulls, Arrested Development and Tiffany.

First each act performs one of their hit singles then they come back later and do a cover version of a current hit song. Then the studio audience votes who they thought was the best and the winner donates I believe the total was $20,000 to their favorite charity.

the worst part I felt was that they only got to play like 2 minutes of the songs so we didn't get to see them even sing a whole song.

Loverboy who I really wanted to see I thought sounded pretty bad.

CeCe Penniston who I wasn't all that familiar with I thought sounded really good even though I'm not a fan of her kind of music.

Flock of seagulls sounded ok but nothing special

Arrested Development sounded real good even though I'm not much a fan of theirs either.

Tiffany sounded real good and was looking pretty good.

If I had a vote I would have picked CeCe Penniston but the studio audience voted for arrested development which I felt was a solid choice too.

Okay someone remind me of Arrested Devlopment? I have heard of them before but for the life of me I cannot remember what they sing? I still want to check it out just to see what it looks like.

Early 90's hits for Arrested Development are "Mr. Wendal" (a great song, BTW), "Tennessee", and "People Everyday".

All were hits during around 1992-93.

I watched this show and I thought it was decent, but it reminds you age takes no prisoners. The lead singer from Loverboy was cracking me up, was that my dad out there or what!

Arrested Development stole the show. I like the idea of the show and the fact the winner donates the prize to charity.

Okay I am watching it because I recorded it from earlier. The Motels just sang "Only the Lonely", I remember it. Vanilla Ice is up next.

I actually am liking this show. I would love to be an audience member!!!

Jessie I watched "Hit Me Baby One More Time" inbetween The MTV Movie Awards. I loved Tommy Tutone they were older, but still kept a cool style about them. They were by far the best. Great job of putting an 80's sound to the Blink 182 song.

I thought Vanilla Ice rocked the house, I was surprised after all that he's went through. Also, it appeared the show and the crowd response meant something to him. Nice win Iceman.

The rest were only average performances in my opinion.
