Today (Nov. 22, 2008) is the 45th anniversary of the death of President John F. Kennedy.

And I have the movie "JFK" starring Kevin Costner, Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones and all-star cast.

Despite the movie's conspiracy theme, I think it's a great entertaining film. Has anyone else seen it?

It was on last night....we watched part of it, and then quit to watch something else.

My mom can remember where she was an everything on the day Kennedy was shot.

In the movie they have real film footage from TV from when Ruby shot Oswald. My mom remembered seeing it on TV when it happened.

The one guy in the movie says "This is nuts". My mom says it was...it was so shocking...to see someone be murdered on TV, she said everyone was glued to their TV sets.

Now...it isn't so shocking.

I absolutely love the movie JFK. I think the conspiracy theme makes it better....for me anyway. I love a good conspiracy theory!

JFK is an amazing movie. Pure drama to the end. Costner and Stone were rarely better. Great turn also by Tommy Lee Jones.

And of course you-know-who, showing he could do straight drama if called for it (but it almost didn't come to pass; the studio tried to edit out his scenes, but Stone rallied hard for them to leave him in, and in the end they did).

I have this movie. It's good, but, long. I saw a documentary on The Discovery Channel about JFK and they proved how the movie was wrong in most of its assumptions. I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth. It's still an interesting movie to watch. Well acted...

Good movie to learn some basic facts, it doesn’t, however, make any reference to Jack’s famous April 27th 1961 speech before the 'American Newspaper Publisher's Association' (seven months before his assassination) or his stance against Israeli nuclear proliferation which, according to Mordecai Vanunu, got the Zionists to fund his murder. JFK was going to do what Andrew Jackson had done in 1830 and throw the Rothschild money lending cartel out of America: this criminal gang loans money to start wars, and uses the never ending compound interest repayments on those loans to stay in power (e.g. when Russia paid off its Rothschild debt, their agents started the Georgian war, the UK is still paying interest on a loan it took out to fight Napoleon and every country in the world besides Iran, Sudan and Palestine have a Rothschild controlled banking system). 'JFK' is a well-acted film and I bought the extended director's cut (a bit of chore at over three hours) but with all the new evidence Stone could remake it.

Been a fan of JFK ever since I first saw this back in 2004-ish. Brilliant film that really makes you think. This is an extremely disturbing/unsettling movie on many levels. I just re-watched this on Blu, and here is my review:

I definitely don't believe everything that's depicted in the film; for example, I believe that the Donald Sutherland character is at least somewhat fictitious. It's possible creative license is taken in other portions of the film as well.

That being said, there are way too many strange occurrences/coincidences that did occur in real life for me to believe that LHO acted completely alone in this:

1) I believe it was proven that multiple shots did occur during the timeframe when Kennedy was killed. So, how was it possible that LHO was able to fire multiple shots from his old, antiquated rifle in this extremely short period of time?! In fact, did LHO even fire one shot from that rifle? For that matter, did he even have the rifle with him that day?! And, if so, and even if he did get off at least one shot, if he was the only shooter how was it that witnesses heard shots coming from areas other than the book depository?!

2) LHO was in Russia for a while, and his wife (who he brought back to Dallas) was Russian. This was all during the height of the cold war, i.e. late 1950's/early 1960's. I don't believe this was a coincidence.

3) A while back, I saw a good documentary that presented a compelling argument that the famous picture of LHO standing on his front lawn with a rifle was "doctored" to make it look like he was doing this...but in actuality was a fake picture.

4) Jack Ruby is a huge question mark. He was a small business owner in Dallas, and he took it upon himself to kill LHO in the basement of the Dallas police station - in front of multiple LE witnesses. Very blatant, and he knew his life was over at that point - he obviously was going to jail for murder, possibly forever (as it turns out, he died in prison). So, do people really think that Ruby threw his life away because he was a patriot & was that upset about the death of JFK?! Give me a break. I believe he was instructed to silence Oswald....

4) As was stated in text towards the end of at least one version of the film, many "witnesses" to the shooting died in the upcoming years, in many cases mysteriously. I don't believe this was a coincidence either.
