Remember the early part of the 90's where there seemed to be a new sensational crime case or trial like every year; The Menendez brothers, John Wayne Bobbit, Amy Fisher/Joey Buttafuoco, the Texas Cheerleader murdering mom, Ruby Ridge, Waco, O.J. Simpson trial etc.

Well, most of those got their own TV movie, and im trying to find them on DVD if possible. These are the ones I know of, any recommendations are welcome.

To Catch a Killer (1992) Brian Dennehy as John Wayne Gacy, masterpiece mini series. Only bootleg DVD I think.

Amy Fisher: My Story (1992) So far all I could locate was a French Canadian DVD under the title Lolita: Femme Fatale. Reportedly the best of the three Amy Fisher TV movies.

The Amy Fisher Story (1993) The one with Drew Barrymore, has a DVD release.

Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story (1993) The one with Alyssa Milano, no DVD as far as I know.

The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom (1993) has a DVD release.

Ambush in Waco: In the Line of Duty (1993) Solid film with the guy from Wings playing Koresh. Has a DVD release.

Menendez: A Killing in Beverly Hills (1994) Edward James Olmos as the dubious dad. No DVD as far as I know.

Honor thy Father and Mother: The True Story of the Menendez Murders (1994) With Jill Clayburgh and Billy Warlock among others, no DVD I think.

The O.J. Simpson Story (1995) Pretty cheesy as I recall, but oh well. No DVD I can find.

The Siege at Ruby Ridge (1996) Randy Quaid as a psycho christian survivalist, has a DVD release.

If anyone can think of any other true crime TV movies or mini series from the 90's, please post them.

There is Amy Fisher: My Story UK dvd under the name Lethal Lolita.

The In the Line of Duty series is interesting. I have only one so far but always on the hunt for more.

Thanks for chiming in, atomik... was hoping you would. I'll put the UK dvd on the list, and the FBI Murders looks great... gonna keep a lookout for that.

I have one called Too young to Die? (1990) which is a decent film.
It´s loosely based on Attina Marie Cannaday, who along with David Gray and Dawn Bushart, killed Ronald Wojcik, in Harrison County, Mississippi on June 3, 1982.

I believe that Brian Dennehy did lots of these. There´s one called A Killing in a Small Town (1990).
The film is based on the true-crime book "Evidence of Love," by John Bloom, better known by his alter ego of Drive-In movie critic Joe Bob Briggs.

These two are part of the True Stories Collection dvd´s. Here´s a list:

Oh yeah, I remember that one, really good. Yeah, Dennehy did quite a few. Just remembered he also did the Ervil LerBaron Story. And just remembered another decent one with Brooke Shields where she is being stalked at work by some loser nutjob, im blanking on the title right now. Hmm... I wonder if they made a Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan TV movie, but they must have [Smile] And nice link. I'll be adding to the list soon. Thanks, atomik.

I recall NBC did one concerning the attack on Nancy Kerrigan shortly after it occurred. Not sure what the title was or who was in it, though.
