Just watched this highly entertaining WIP/action movie.
It was directed by Eddie Romero and starring Pam Grier, Margaret Markov, Sid Haig, Lynn Borden and Eddie Garcia.

This flick includes all the typical WIP scenes, sleazy crime bosses and nice gun fights.
The girls meet many truly awesome characters on their journey through some Philippine island.

Great fun for the fans of the genre.

I liked Black Mama, White Mama and have fond memories of seeing it at the trashiest grindhouse in downtown Philadelphia way, way back in the day. We all know Pam Grier's later-career exploits, but whatever happened to Margaret Markov? She was great in this one, "The Hot Box," and "The Arena."

GP, that's a classic poster. Today's movie posters just don't cut it much. The exploitation stuff from the 70s was so good--and the hard-sell campaigns were often even better. Who could ever forget the "Last House on the Left" tag line, "To avoid fainting, keep repeating...It's only a movie...It's only a movie...It's only a movie..."?

Pam Grier is great, always has been over a very long and varied career. She was one of the few bright spots of the otherwise dreadful "Escape from L.A."

posters like this and good old special effects are great forms of art that lost on most people and sorely missed by those who appreciate them

Indeed, lost art forms... I would add the old-school, hard-sell exploitation trailers.
