Since this concerns a classic 70s album, I figured it would go best in this section. At any rate, has anyone here actually tried synchronizing The Dark Side of the Moon with The Wizard of Oz personally? While I'd have to agree with Pink Floyd that the end result is merely coincidence--after all, how could they have had access to the film at a time when TV was the only place to see it?--I can say that even for sheer circumstance the results when synched properly are quite intriguing, with perhaps the cash register ringing to start "Money" at the exact moment the film switches from black and white to technicolor being my favorite moment of the experience.

I have never tried Dark side of the Moon to the Wizard of Oz. I had a prof. in college who was obsessed with the Wizard of Oz and he explained to me once how it can be compared to Government. To be honest, I wasn't paying attention, he was always a bit of a cook, but I wish I had just to try to imagine what he was trying to say. I mean what does the Wizard of Oz have to do with Art History based back in the BCE era?

I have another long trip coming up, maybe I can play around with The Dark Side of the Moon while I am on the plane.

I've done it a couple of times over the years. I'm always intrigued by the sheer number of times that the tracks coincide with the film - my favorite is probably how "Big Rig in the Sky" is exactly as long as the twister scene in the film.
