I went mad today and bought Some Kind of Wonderful.....Space Camp..(oh yeah) and a film called High School USA....which I had never heard of but had to buy coz not only was it cheap (bonus)...but it has a very young looking Michael J Fox in it.

I noticed later that 2 of them have Lorraine McFly in and the other has Marty.....actually a serendipity.

Anyone ever heard of High School USA?
I'll be sure to share my verdict with y'all [Big Grin]

I vaguely remember it as a made for TV movie. I checked it out on IMDB and sure enough it was a TV movie from 1983. It has alot of 80's TV stars in it like Nancy McKeon (Facts Of Life), Todd Bridges & Dana Plato (Different Strokes), Laurie Hendler (Gimme A Break).

I wouldn't say she was a knockout, but she was attractive in her own sort of way.

i have it and as i recall from watching it, it's chock full of other 80's celebs like Michael Zorek, Dana Plato & perhaps Crispin Glover. It was cool...campy cool.

Nancy McKeon, IMO, was just naturally pretty. Even with a ponytail, no makeup and jeans, she looked cute, on the Facts of Life that is.

yeah I think she's pretty a natural beauty.......especially as Joe on facts of life..........but in this movie she's kindof "mousey" and her expression never changes except maybe the ferris wheel scene haaha and she seem to even look years older.......maybe cause fox looked so young hehe so why was she the knockout........even in the scene with her parents no expression change, watch it lol

Thread # 1 called 'High School USA'.

Two have Lorraine, and one has Marty and George! Nice!

Angel: What did you think of the film in the end?

Have you seen 'Poison Ivy'? It features MJF and Nancy McKeown (same actress as 'High School USA' - they dated for a while).

Just bought and watched High School USA (1983).
I loved everything in it! Non-stop jokes and great characters.

The cast is one of the greatest ever.
Michael J. Fox and Nancy McKeon had great chemistry
just like in Poison Ivy two years later.
(and obviously also in real life)

Anthony Edwards was awesome as the rich SOB.
Crispin Glover and Michael Zorek were ultra cool geeks.

Chuckie: "We´re couple great looking hip dudes, right?"
Archie: "Yeah, we´re cool"
Chuckie: " Ok, i´ll stop by after the Flintstones"

"You eat all the fries?"
 -

Arcade scene, a cheesy robot, some rollerskating and a car race.
That´s 80s magic!

I guess she did have the ability to look good and I have seen her look quite attractive in certain things but in High School USA she is barfarama.

Zigy - it is worth a watch for sure. Classic 80's feel.
