"Hunting is the national sport...and people are the prey!"

"Turkey Shoot is a 1982 Australian dystopian futurist exploitation film directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith
notable for its extreme violence and sadistic prison sequences.
The cast is a mix of international actors and Australian soap opera stars and television personalities."
(Wikipedia)

Watched Turkey Shoot (aka Escape 2000, Blood Camp Thatcher) yesterday, highly entertaining stuff!
Starring Steve Railsback, Olivia Hussey, Michael Craig, Carmen Duncan, Lynda Stoner, Noel Ferrier and Roger Ward.

Director Trenchard-Smith (BMX-Bandits, Dead-End Drive In) is one of my heroes.

Exploding arrows, funny "future" cars, circus freak, shower scene, brutal violence...
The best man hunt flick i´ve seen since Avenging Force. This is exploitation magic!

I like Trenchard-Smith a whole lot too, aTomiK. He's an exploitation legend. From the stuff in Mark Hartley's documentary on Ozploitation, he seems like a really cool guy, someone who doesn't have any pretensions and just wants to make entertaining stuff.

great film,to think he went from this (turkey shoot) to directing - bmx bandits a year later, just slightly different in tone!

there's a few of trenchard smith's films from the 80s i've never seen -stunt rock, siege of firebase gloria, the go kids aka frog dreaming aka the quest, jenny kissed me and the 1989 horror - out of the body which if i remember right was released by medusa home video here in the uk and had the usual really cool artwork which most medusa releases would have.

never heard much on this one before - the go kids aka the quest aka frog dreaming starring henry thomas from 1986 and directed by brian trenchard smith.

watched turkey shoot
bmx bandits
dead end drive in
and both day of the panther and strike of the panther,i agree he's a good director who made some really fun flicks!

Young Warrior. So would you recommend the Quest even though you have not seen it due to the director. I have quite a few copies of that one and have not seen it.
