I saw this last year for the first time and it won my heart then.....So home with a sprained ankle it seemed fitting to watch today haha
Kristy McNichol plays Susan a known flute player with a leg disability. When on tour in France she wants to break away and become someone else so she gets a cast put on her leg, stays in a nice French Ski Resort and plays her disability as a ski accident to see if she is treated different. Susan is witty and has this charm about her.....the movie is sweet and funny.
Yeah it's a romantic story......but has an awesome 80's dance sequence and you know someone thought the same because it's on youtube
'I Know There's Something Going On' and those beats starting them out to the dance floor and how they cut in 3 songs lots of clapping and 80's boogieing I love it!
I'll give points to anyone who can tell me what the third song is....right after Abba? I don't know what it is?

I remember it and thought is was a good. I really like the scenes at the ski resort. I've always been a fan of Kristy McNichol.

Atomik awesome sound bits....awesome!
Kristy's character was so feisty and I loved that.....I laughed so much at her lines.....cause I like to think i'm pretty feisty too haha
I didn't mention Robert Carradine in the beginning....he falls for her best friend then suddenly starts falling for her..."it's like you ordered prime rib and all along you wanted the duck.....I'll have the duck" something like that. So witty!

I finally got Just the Way You Are and watched it last december. I liked it of course. Kristy is so cute and i was shocked to see a fast sideboob scene from her Kaki Hunter (Roadie, Porky´s films) is her friend and i´ve always liked her too, always so energetic! Beautiful Alexandra Paul was also in this one!
Lot´s of great dialog especially during the american part of the film. Loved the disco scene and the slalom race for invalids plus the theme tune was fantastic.
