Please watch this link if you want to see a pretty funny review of Jaws The Revenge. The review is done by a guy called Tony Martin who used to be one of the hosts of an Aussie show called The Late Show. It's pretty funny. Please watch.

Tony Martin is a very fuunny guy. It was just a segment that he did on the show. He did do some other reviews in those segments but I thought this was the best one. I'm gonna give it 1 doplh and half a Rutger.

I roared with laughter throughout the review.

It must be worth at least four Dolphs and also two Rutgers! [Smile] [Big Grin]

Jaws: The Revenge was on the other night which has prompted me to bump this thread. Maybe some of the newer members like Terd etc. might like to watch the review posted above.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Terrible, terrible film,I can't believe I went to the pictures to watch this when it first came out,god it was bad!

It has definitely got to rate as one of the worse sequel's ever.

By the way Bernie " my name is Michael Caine, not a lot of people know that"

Peter Sellers?

"OK, so you want me to do the new Jaws film, but you haven't got Steven Spielberg, you haven't got Richard Dreyfuss and you haven't even got a remotely realistic looking shark".

I think that the first is a classic. The 2nd was pretty bad. The 3rd was awful and this one was just a complete joke.

Because of sequels like this the realism of the shark in the 1st one gets a bad rap. I mean I think that the shark does look pretty real in the first one but in the others and especially this one it looks ridiculous.

Probably Universal would have been better taking the offer from National Lampoon to do an intentional comedy in the series (Jaws 3, People 0). Then again, it technically isn't too late if they so wish.....

The Jaws series reminds me of the Airport series that Universal was also doing at the same time. Take a huge hit movie and apply the law of diminishing returns so that by the time you get to the fourth film in the series, it's just a joke, like The Concorde: Airport '79. I don't know what the budgets of the Jaw sequels were, but I'll bet that they got lower and lower as the series went on. (The sequels to Airport were actually done by the TV movie division of Universal.) That's just pure greed.

Wasn't Piranha supposed to be a spoof of Jaws?

thanx for thinking about the newbies Bernie!
I was talking with my 20 yr old nephew last year and he mentioned this movie. I dont remember why it came up but he too said it was a terrible movie, one of the worst and Rotten Tomatoes thought so to.

Pretty funny video by Tony Martin. I like how the two guys on the boat just stood back like the gargantuan shark was just another fish.
Dolphs and Rutgers. What do they give a good movie?

The movie was an absolute disgrace! You would think that in order for it to be made that all the previous movies would have done well at the box office. The original is a no brainer. It was massive. The 2nd may have done well because people expected it to be as good as the 1st. I seriously don't know how Jaws 3/3D made money? Maybe just due to the 3D? The 4th must have bombed big time. I could just imagine people laughing as they left the cinema.

The two guys were no doubt budget actors but it's like they put zero effort into appearing shocked. If a shark jumped out of the water and started eating the boat I was in I think I would lose control of my bodily functions.

Perhaps a good movie might get 3 Pacino's and half a Booby De Niro [Big Grin]

This is an exploitation movie in the real sense of the word.
