Devolution here,

Did anyone else think that Bubba Smith aka Hightower from Police Academy's 1-6, was the strongest man in the world?

I can't believe he died at 66.

Just heard about it. R.I.P. Bubba Smith.
He had many many funny scenes in the Police Academy movies.

I need to watch some PA flicks again this fall.

i always think of the police academy scene where he rips out the back seats when he's learning to drive and crashes into some dudes car ,the guy then gets out to have a go then see's the size of hightower and thinks otherwise!

i also remember him in the cool 80s flick black moon rising!

yeh devo i bet he was strong!

I was saddened to hear of his death. He was really funny in the P.A. movies. I'll have to watch one soon.

Bubba Smith was so great in the Police Academy flicks! Totally intimidating persona that served him well.

But I'll always remember him for this too:

Bubba Smith commercial

Sad news indeed

Loved the first Police Academy. Classic movie and made all the better by him. Also in a Burt Reynolds favorite Stroker Ace. 66 is too young. Very sad indeed.

RIP Bubba....very fond memories of this big fella. I think I'll try to squeeze in Police Academy sometime soon.

This was sad to hear. I also just heard that Christopher Mayer (Vance Duke) one of the Dukes of Hazard cousins passed away at the age of 57 from natural causes.

RIP BUBBA AND VANCE
