I remember watching only a clip of this film on an advert on sky movies in the late 80's i think but its only a flash that i can remember.

Its a man or teenager with dark haiir (i think) siting in a comfy chair and suddenly the chair comes to life, the arms of the chair start to wrap around him and either kill him or suck in to the chair, im not sure wich.

Does this ring any bells to anyone, sorry its a bit vague but i was young when i saw it lol.

Also im definately not confusing it with "nightmare on elm street" where Johnny Depp is sucked in to the bed either lol.

Thanx 4 yr help [Smile]

This may be obvious but...

There is a scene in Ghostbusters where Sigourney Weaver has hands burst out of a chair and grab her, the chair then gets sucked into a room.

Thanx for your suggestion, I just watched that scene as i forgot about it, but unfortunatley i don't think that was it, though it was strikingly similar, Ghostbusters had real hands and arms coming out of the chair and grabbing her, but in the film im thinkin' of, i swear it was a man in the chair and it was the arms or sides of the chair itself that suddenly detached at one end and grabbed him holding him in the chair, i seem to remember the picture looking very dark and blue-ish (probly because they always use blue lighting or tinting on the film to give the impression that its night time) but i may be wrong, sometimes you remember things differently from when you were a child to what they really are lol.

It's really bugging me that i can't remember anymore of it, but please anymore suggestions will be very much appreciated, thanx [Big Grin]

That's because you think he's hot. But what does that have to do with the question?

"Shop smart. Shop S-Mart."

Inanimate objects coming to life makes me think of the movie 'Young Sherlock Holmes and the Pyramid of Fear'.
