Hey there everyone. I was hoping that someone on the Rewind might recognize this program that I remember watching a long time ago. For the life of me, I cannot remember the title (assuming that I knew in the first place), but here are some details that I recall:

-it was a documentary style program that appeared on U. S. TV either in the late 80s or early 90s. I believe that it appeared on network or syndicated television and not cable. I cannot swear that it was made for TV, though.
-The main study of the documentary was a man who took a group of urban teenage boys under his wing and tried to reform them. I remember that the primary portion of the documentary took place on a boat, where he tried to teach the boys fishing skills and the like (ala White Squall). Most of the boys were involved with gangs and had a been leading a life of crime; I also remember that most of the boys were African American.
-At the end of the program (which lasted an hour or two) an update of how the boys were doing after they returned home was included. Some continued on the straight and narrow, a few continued forward with their criminal lives, and I believe that one was in jail.
-I think I remember it showing during on a weekend afternoon (if that counts for anything).

So, I know it's a slim chance, but I hope that there is someone out there who recognizes this documentary, and can provide a title. [Smile]
